Room 101 is a UK TV show where celebrities are invited to put the things they most hate into Room 101. It's more along the lines of pet hates I suppose in a way. Here's a great example:
What would you put there?
I certainly have things I dislike/ fear. Not at all keen on millipedes although, to condemn an entire species feels mean. I'd prefer just to try and keep away from things.
I detest to an unreasonable degree, labels that won't come off things. I suppose it mostly annoys me when people are probably paid shit loads of money to design things like packaging and, it doesn't work.
It would be nice if we could put ourselves or, all our needs in there. A few historical and current political figures would be good although, I wonder if there are many better people waiting to replace them.
It's a strange choice though in a way. As I'm sure most know, 'Room 101' is a reference to the book '1984' by George Orwell. It was a room where prisoners were taken to face their very worst fears. Whereas, this show focussed more on things people strongly disliked. I think it was more about banishing those things away.
What would you face in Room 101? For me, it would either be the (suspected) narcissist from my youth who caused my ideation to begin with. Or, maybe fire.
