• Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

I've loved it for years, great movie. It's aged so well too.

The Muppets movie from 2011 is still my favorite movie ever. Other Muppet movies are great but I think that one had the perfect balance of heart and humor without feeling too dated.

It often changes, I don't really watch movies anymore though. They make me miss this girl that I used to watch everything with. But if I had to pick one then it would be Nightmare Before Christmas. I once had it playing on repeat for an entire month lol

101 Dalmations (1961) is one. It's stands out to me among all other Disney movies. The artistic design is beautifully dreary and particularly comforting to me. The story, characters, and music are great too.

9. A puppet movie. I won't say much because I feel like it's an underrated movie and most people don't know it. Check it out if you haven't (and apologies for assuming you don't know it if you do)

Ghost World (2001)

Watch it for free on YouTube and hit me back with your opinion on the ending.

It's hard to believe this came out nearly 25 years ago! I loved this movie when it came out, related a lot with Enid. I just rewatched it on Tubi to get a fresh take. Semi-spoilers ahead

So, I still don't consider Enid getting onto the bus a metaphor for her suicide, or an attempt even. More like a rupture or death of life as she knew it and identity. Yeah she's increasingly discontent, ambivalent, disconnected from others/lonely, reckless... Then just regretting some shit and having to embrace or make change. But no, she didn't strike me as suicidal, though having some SI seems likely for the character of Enid. If they literally showed her attempting suicide/death at the end I think I would've been very confused.

I disagree with you, but that's irrelevant.

What matters is that right amount of ambiguity applied at the right time by writers and/or directors of different types of media. Such obscurity is what makes their creations so enjoyable.

The ending of "The Thing", the mistery briefcase in "Pulp Fiction", The ending of "2001: A Space Odyssey", and the ending of "Ghost Town" are the kind of movie scenes (among many others) that know how to take advantage of that "Whatever you want to believe in" concept that creates the division among viewers that, in turn, makes them even more attracted to such scenes.

I'm pretty sure if we all had the same interpretation of how a movie like Ghost Town ends, such movie would not be as interesting as it actually is today.

Agree there. I like the touch of mysticism that the supposed out of service bus and old man lend to Ghost World and its ending.
