Mine is being in a crib and there's around 6 little poodle like dogs tickling me in the bed crib.

That sounds really messed up. A long time ago, I thought it was a dream.

Then my world turned upside down, I and started thinking these dogs are my spirit guides.

I didn't know what the fuck a spirit guide was until 3 months ago.

I'm 44.

That's really fucked up. But I KNOW it was my first memory.

**EDIT** I sound like a crazy person. But I'm not. I don't see dead people and I hate conspiracy theories. **

**EDIT AGAIN ** It even looks so much more stupid. Google "spirit guides" and it's like this guy is crazy.

So....I started watching NDE videos on YT and and I came across a person who.. fk it

What's your first memory?

My first memory is of the day my youngest sister was born. I was about 3 and a half years old. I mainly remember staying in my grandparent's house, trying an ice cream cone for the first time, and then later when I was driven to the hospital to see my mom, I saw my dad arguing with her over something even though she had just given birth. As I was walking back home with my grandmother, they were still yelling at each other in the distance.

Interesting. I wonder why that stood out for you? How long were your parents married for and do you still keep in contact with your sister?

I think that memory just happens to coincide with the exact time my neurons were able to actually begin to store memories and it was a significant event.

I still live with my mom and both my younger sisters. We're pretty close, especially since our other sister, the middle one, is nonverbal and severely autistic. My parents had gotten married about a year before I was born and divorced when I was around 14.

I remember being in a baby swing on the playground at preschool. I was probably 2 or 3. The teachers were getting us ready to go inside and when they tried to get me out of the swing my shoe got stuck and fell off. The way they pulled it broke my shoe and I had to walk back inside without shoes on.

Mine is super weird but i know it is definitely a memory, i remember being very little, i might not have been able to talk yet, because i wasnt speaking as far as i can remember, but i was in an off-white room on a bed or a square cushion or something with a tiny tv playing whinnie the pooh without sound (did that used to have sound? I dont) remember it lol. I remember recalling this memory when i was about 5 or 6 and thinking to myself "this is the earliest i can remember, im going to memorise it to never forget it" and i sat and thought it over and over again until it was unforgettable.

I think its so cool having loads of little dogs around you as a first memory! I dont know if you think of it as a good or bad or whatever memory but that sounds wicked. weird shaped people animals.

I understand what you mean by spirit guides - not personally but my mum is very into spiritual stuff like that, not theories or religion or cults or whatever, i cant really describe it. I remember her talking about her spirit guide a few times. I dont think its a matter of believing it or not - i dont NOT believe her, but i obviously cant see proof of it - its become a sort of accepted normal in our house.

Awesome!

Everyone loves Winnie the Pooh!!

Good stuff and great post!

And thank you. Because I sound like a freak. Poodles. Spirit guides. lol.

Now before people go and google spirit guides, they'll come up with Native American themes.

I started learning about them through NDES on YT and it wasn't until I found someone on YT who described these dog like figures.

It sounds so stupid poodle/dogs/spirt guides...etc.

lol.

my first memory is like from when i was 2 i think maybe? i just remember like waking up in a hospital after something, if it was 2 it was my brain surgery but it could also have been like after i went in again to get the screws in my skull like tightened. i definitely remember the hospital from that time like sitting and eating pringles

First memory was around 3 when I was in an airplane going to or leaving Nevada (I cannot remember). I remember looking out the window and seeing the clouds below me. It makes me smile.

first memory is in third person and i dont know how old i could've possibly been but in this third person perspective I was being swaddled and my mom was holding me on her lap. we were in the living room in the first house we lived in and was completely dark except for light coming from the end of the hallway in my mothers room, and the atmosphere was really sad and i dont know where I get this idea from but it kind of felt like she had just had an argument with my dad even though he is not present in the memory.

I was being held in Times Square around Christmas time if I had to guess, it appeared to be decorated and lightly snowing. First a was looking through a store window and then turned to face the landmark in all its glory. It's super hazy and I remember nothing before or after that so it has me even doubting it being real. But I hope that was my first memory because the back-up definitively happened memory is infinitely more depressing lol.

I think mine is playing on this xylophone and disturbing my sister and mother's watching of Harry Potter. Or maybe it is the memory of my dad getting into an argument with my mom and him taking me out the door of our old minihome to go see ducks while my mother is crying. Oh also the memory of my dad getting me this teddy of two dogs bound together by the ground, dalmatian dogs. This probably isn't my first memory but I also remember my 4th birthday party. We went to a bowling alley (or was that for my sister's birthday? her's is 3 days before mine). We were also decorating the house and I remember being asked whether I wanted to stay and help decorate or if I wanted to go with my dad to the grocery store and go see the live lobsters. My father was always wanting me to do stuff with him. Oh no I just remembered another memory -- I was like 3 or 4 and I got naked with all of my stuffed animals and started jumping on them and like roleplaying or something. Oh I also remember being potty trained and my mom barging in on my dad in the tub and him getting embarrassed followed by my mom reassuring him.

My first memory was around 2 -3 years old. I m sitting on the kitchen floor crying as I am grabbing my red little bowl (my meals used to be served in them) and my parents are yelling at each other. There must have been some argument or sth like that. I wonder why this is my first memory.

When I was very young, my father struggled with alcoholism. My mum had packed up us kids and left him. We were in a homeless shelter for a few weeks. My earliest memory is of her giving me a bath there one night, in tepid/cold-ish water, with this song playing somewhere in the background.

I don't have infantile amnesia, so the sounds of the womb. I just recall that in a second, I existed consciously. I do not recall a single thing in detail, I just know that everything was muffled. Now as an adult, I'll fill up my bathtub just enough for my ears to be submerged in water and I'll lay there. Contemplating life n shit.

My first memory of Earth was when I travelled here with my family back when I was 125 years old. It was December 14th, 1899 and I was running away from a bunch of villagers who wanted me dead after I accidentally set fire to all of their homes. It was on that day that I learned that humans were one of the least understanding and forgiving species out there, getting upset over simple mistakes.

My first memory is me with a childhood friend of mine. We were both falling and rolling down the stairs. I must have been 1.5 or 2 yo. The cool thing is that he also remembers it. But at this point this is more of a shadow than a real memory. My first clear memory is probably from when I was 2 or 3, me and my grandparents and maybe my mum, in their old car, on a dirt road full of puddles. A tractor or a combine passed near us and it sprayed mud on my face. I can still see the brown of the mud on my eyes after all these years lol.
