• Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

dying would be llike going to sleep eternally.. so if you worry about dying and how guilty you'd be for that, when you die, you wouldn't really think anymore, it'd just be nothingness forever without having to think about what others are feeling because you can't think when you're dead. i personally believe there will be nothing when we die but I like to hope for an afterlife. i really want to reincarnate because maybe it's be better in a different life

I understamd the thought process and I hope the same thing too- that there's nothing more to come.

That said, it isn't as simple as that to my mind. I think the majority of people try to behave in a way that doesn't hurt others. Especially those they care about. Even if we know we might not be around to witness it, the thought that our actions could hurt people- even in the future may well be enough to stop us. Realistically, we'd probably all be living hedonistically if we didn't care what effect our behaviour had on others.

There are conter arguments of course. We didn't choose to be born and in this position. We don't want to be in a position where we carry on hurting or, we hurt others. It isn't fair either to expect us to live like this. I think they are all fair arguments.

But the whole- I won't be alive so, I don't care what my loved ones go through- I can't personally relate to. If you somehow knew that something was going to happen in a loved one's life at some stage that would devastate them- wouldn't that be upsetting? No matter if you were there to witness it or not? Surely, we don't want them to suffer- at whatever stage. The awful thing about suicide is that we know it could do that.

Of course, the ideal would be that society changed its views on suicide so we could discuss it openly and people could be prepared and try to accept the decision before it happens. Again- that's not our fault. We're stuck working with what we have.

They're just the thoughts I struggle with. I'm not trying to shame anyone who thinks differently. I just don't find it as simple as- I won't be here so, I don't care.
