• Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

Which knot (for your neck) is better for constricting? And is the bowline knot good for the anchor point? And do you have any tips for full suspension hanging being less painful?

Noose knot. Hangman's knot is for drop hanging. Afaik, it aids in the snapping of your neck, and the loop does not close or open as easily as the noose knot. A good noose knot, depending on the material of your rope, will slide closed (at least partially) with gravity alone. This is ideal for FSH.

As for the anchor knot, you can use a variety of different knots. Most people seem to go for the snuggle hitch, both for full and partial. I personally used a double constrictor knot, since I wanted something ultra strong (though other knots would've worked just as well). You can take a look at this megathread, if you haven't already, for some different knots to try:
As for making it less painful. You could try padding your rope or neck with a thin cloth or handkerchief. But your full body weight will be pressing up against your neck, as well as tightening a noose around it. Some report great pain, others just simple discomfort. There's no way to know which camp you'll be in till you make the attempt.

Thank you so much for your reply :)
I will definitely read the megathread. I'm just scared to use the noose knot because I'm scared it'll open up ( I use a thick rope 1cm Ø)

1cm is actually close to ideal, so that's not all that thick. Thick would be 2cm. And it won't open up, especially with your full body weight + any convulsions you may have; it'll tighten up and remain tight throughout the process.

If you're concerned about any issues with your setup, it's advised to get something like a broomstick handle or a metal rod, place it through the loop, and hang off of it for some time (to clarify, just in case, hang off of it holding it in your hands). If nothing breaks (anchor point, rope, knots) or makes any concerning noises, then it should be fine.
