• Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

I only hit to the beans but not the laffy taffy and bedrock. Why I am so weak to cut myself brutally.

Hate to sound stupid. But what's this beans or Laffy taffy? I know it involves self harm by cutting but still.

They're terms mostly used on platforms like shtwt (self-harm twitter) or tiktok.

Statistically, most people who self-harm by cutting themselves don't go past epidermis / dermis. Reaching hypodermis is already insane statistically speaking, not to mention it can get extremely dangerous. I wouldn't advise you to go any deeper than you already have, please be very careful. It's a stupid idea.

The same reasons people can't CTB easily. Survival instinct.

Often our brains can handle a lot of pain but once you hit a certain threshold (that is different for everyone) it blocks you from hurting yourself worse. It's all self preservation tactics ingrained into humanity for generations.

The only two ways I've ever herd of getting over it is: either you condition yourself out of it by building very slowly over your limits or you hit a breakdown so bad that you shatter the barrier by complete accident.

Wouldn't recommend risking it for your chances to CTB tho. I'm on SH forums and a lot of the people who have the worst wounds (3rd degree burns, narcotic skin, purposeful infection, permanent nerve damage, muscle and bone-deep cuts, etc.) all have been sectioned for it at one point or another. Some even post from in a ward.

I don't feel pain so I stop. The blade is not sharp enough to pentrate deeper.

Huh no idea what to say then. If I don't feel enough pain or any at all I always go deeper/do more. Sorry it's causing you frustration.

Still don't recommend trying to go past the subcutaneous layer regardless. I try and avoid going deeper than fat simply because of the consequences even if the pain or scars are tantalizing.
