  • Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

Last week I had I think 3 days of feeling happy and normal, and now the depression is back and I've been bedridden for two days - today also headache and cramps and crying all day. Yesterday, just really stoned, because I was so sad.

Last week, I think acupuncure helped, but then it stopped helping. the guy says it can be up and down and usually the fifth session is when you start seeing results. I've just had session 3.

But it crushes me again to be back so miserable again. I am so good for nothing. Everything is a mess. I've got nothing done for two days and I'm just in pain. I don't have energy to do anything I need to do before CTB either.

no hope left really. I am posting in the wrong section I guess. Don't know what to do - just getting panic and misery and pain.

I think many of us have those times. Good days and bad days and just plain ... really bad days. For me, there is usually an incident that throws me into the Pit. Did something happen?

Well, crap. I'm so sorry you are down again. I try to accept that it will happen. And stay away from my guns during those times.

I keep a little list of things to do when the SHTF like that. Little things, easy things to do that don't take much effort, like wipe the toothpaste out of the bathroom sink. Somehow, just some little accomplishment helps a little bit. It is hard.

I'm so sorry. It sucks. (There, I said it.)

Thank you for your kind words. It does suck for sure.

There was a study done on worker productivity in the 1930s that involved things like changing the brightness of light bulbs. In the process of conducting these experiments they discovered that productivity would improve if they lowered the lighting level, raised it, or even changed it to the same as it was. It was called the Hawthorne effect (after the Western Electric facility where the experiments were conducted).

There is also something called the placebo effect where a person taking a drug thinking it may be a remedy has a demonstrable improvement even though what he is taking has no chemical effect.

These sort of effects indicate that there is something inside us which can occasionally work to our advantage. The trick is discovering how to get this aspect working more often and consistently. You can be happy to know that there is something you have that is capable of providing relief.
