• Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

If I could click a button and all of a sudden just stopped existing, I would have totally done that.

I really understand, I'd personally be long gone if I could just have the option to simply cease existing in peace, it feels so cruel to me how it's so difficult to be permanently free from this existence, I wish that painless guaranteed death is accessible for me as all I hope for is to never exist again, I just wish for permanent peace from this existence that I see as just being pointless suffering.

C'est dur, tu as raison.
Big hugs to you.

Two main reasons:

1. Humans have managed to restrict and control all of the peaceful suicide methods meaning that we'd have to go through a suicide method which is uncertain and could fail
2. Survival instinct has been developed via billions of years of evolution and it has been developed exceptionally well since the main goal of evolution is to have species that replicate themselves perpetually. If we didn't have this survival instinct, the selection pressures would probably work against us to not make us replicate which is why it's far more developed than the rest of the human body is.

It's honestly so scary at how, in our minds, we want to die but our body refuses to want to die. It's also so scary at how rampant suicide prevention is at making sure that we live for as long as possible

Dying is not only hard bc methods are heavily restricted it's hard bc all living creatures are programmed to survive at all costs.

If I had a button I wouldn't be here anymore bc there were plenty of situations in the past years when I would have pressed that button.

If only it were that easy, just press a button and poof, your gone, like you never even exited.

But sadly when we try and take our own lives, that very action runs contrary to every sort of social programming, and evolutionary survival instinct that we have, so we kind of have to battle with ourselves to try and even make an attempt.

but it's also kind of a waste of time thinking about hypotheticals like having a big red button of whatever, as all it does is allow our selves to be mentally distracted from our problems at hand, by giving us an easy solution to fantasize about. One that will happen anyways.

I don't think dying itself is hard, what's hard is trying to control it. Dying at a time of your choosing in a manner that's peaceful and relatively pain-free is particularly hard, if you let go of those conditions it will happen automatically for you at some point in the future with 100% certainty.

It's been made to feel so difficult because societies in general are specifically not constructed in a way that is conducive to fixing systemic issues.

If the reason for your desire to die is something that could be fixed by external , systemic aid, it opens up the question of why that external aid was not available to you to begin with. Telling people that suicidality is an individual issue that requires individual treatment is much easier than saying that the systems we exist in create patterns of living that are just not worth living.

Since the institutions and systems can not and will not contend with that, we are left with social conditioning that infantilizes and pathologizes people with suicidal ideation, shaming and ostracizing people, which then makes it really hard for people to come to terms with what they are wishing for is very rational and in their best interests.

I wish I could just take a magic pill and go to sleep forever. I feel so trapped. My method is unreliable but don't have access to anything else. Too chicken shit to try it due to fear of failure. But I can't go on living this miserable life. Trapped. I don't want to do this anymore.
