• Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

It appears that this was done by mistake and has been reversed by Google. It may take a few hours for you to stop seeing those warnings.

If you're still getting these warnings, please let a member of staff know.

Some report says 56.4% of the family of suicides has suffered from prejudice. I think it is an evidence that ctb is thought to be a taboo in Japan.

(P.12 written in Japanese, Jisatsu Jittai Hakusyo, Suicide fact-finding white paper)
Most Japanese born after WW2 think Seppuku is a cultural event only permitted to less than 10% people called Samurai mainly during Edo-era, which ended about 150 years ago.
They, including me, do not think the ethics or philosophy behind Seppuku affect their integrity or personality, including their judgment for or against ctb.

Some (teens to 20's generally) tend to seek, and as Noiseless mentioned practically easily have, a mate or group for ctb through twitter or other social media just like Partners Megathread here.

I think one of the factors is that the Catholic religion never had relevance there, religion molds the morality of a society enough.

Basic Act on Suicide Prevention was enacted 10 years ago in Japan. A survey administered by Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare and released in 2016 reveals that 38.8% is pro-choice and 40.6% not pro-choice, and 64.3% thinks suicide is a social issue capable of being prevented and 15.5% not.

See also comparative study among US, Korea and Japan:

Is it so far different from your countries?

If only it was easier to find a partner in the U.S trying to find a partner here for me seems near impossible which is why i'm considering moving to japan later on in life if i do happen to stay alive longer finding a partner then might not be so hard
