Hi,
I have tried two times to CTB thanks to exit bag and argon.
My exit bag seems to be fine, well sealed: i inhale argon during like more than 1 minute , but nothing happen. Just a headache.

Whats wrong ?

The bag is not too tight on my neck: I have set a little gap between the bag and my neck (1 finger large) because the CO2 i exhale need to go outside the bag,i guess its the right thing to do.

@gregisss What did you set the flow rate to?

@gregisss Did you scrunch the bag, before turning on the gas, to get rid of all the oxygen? And also breathe out before placing the bag on over your face?

are you using an argon regulator? you need to be more than one minute inhaling argon... it takes 15 minutes - 25 minutes the book says

Yes ,argon regulator.

I'm receiving today an argon cylinder... I hope it works for me. I wonder what went wrong when you did it.. we can chat if you like

The CO2 is supposed to be flushed by the flow of argon. There should not be a permanent gap, the bag should be with no gap around the neck, but it needs to not be tight in a way that chokes you. You should be able to insert a few fingers between the bag and the neck, but that should require some force.
It seems some air got in to the bag.

I've read several who didn't succeed with Argon. It is said because Argon flows downwards because of weight or something. So it is easier for argon to exit the bag rather than stay in it from what I understand. So it seems risky doing this

Helium is the lightest
Then nitrogen
Argon is the inert gaz whose weight is the higher, almost as high as CO2, which can be a problem.

it looks like getting a regulator with flow in L is difficult when you get helium or nitrogen..

I remember reading that the argon flow rate should be 25

Why I chose to go with nitrogen and a well-sealed scuba regulator/mask setup.

you do it laying down or sitting on a chair? They say it is better sitting on a chair but I dunno how to do it, because you also can fall.. I read about someone who feel from the chair.

Can you please explain how you connected the scuba mask to the tank with an adapter? I'm very confused about the adapter needed...

Hey, I had the same exact issue when I tried my setup. Argon is apparently the hardest
