Will ctb be possible in a car with carbon monoxide without sealing the trunk? I have no way to seal the trunk of my vehicle or will small air gaps not make much of a difference

Anywhere CO can escape lowers the percentage of success. I'm not saying you won't succeed, but it's best to try and make it airtight.

You need to consider not just where the trunk opens but also around the back of the seats, especially if your seats fold down. Trunks are not air tight at all.
