Really? I'd rather be blind. Music is one of the few things I still enjoy.

My grandparents are both deaf. I'd always always always prefer to be deaf than blind. When you're deaf you can see your surroundings. Surprisingly music really isn't all that much to miss out on imho. ASL is so rich, so is deaf culture.
My grandfather was born hearing but lost it as a child; he always said the one thing he missed most about being hearing was music.
