  • Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

Supposedly it has the same effects of Adderall but of course I take everything I read with a grain of salt... Does anyone have any personal experiences with yerba mate tea?

I drink it. Keeps you alert longer than coffee without euphoria, jitters & anxiety. Don't think it's comparable with Adderall tho

Having had both, it is definitely not a replacement for Adderall, and I get the exact same caffeine buzz from the yerba mate that I do with coffee. It's all about how much you consume. People who get the jitters regularly from coffee are usually guzzling it and/or have no tolerance.

What are you planning to use it for? Studying?

I used to be on Adderall because of my ADHD but I don't have health insurance and I have no idea how to get back on it.

Oh god. That fucking blows. I don't know of any OTC med, supplement, or herb that's going to work like that. Briefly when I entertained the idea that I might have ADHD, I came across some self-help books for treating it without medication, but it seemed to require more discipline than ADHD really allows for. I'm sorry.

Caffeine may help you drum up motivation to start a task, but I personally have never found it to be effective for focusing attention per se. Diet, exercise, and regulating your sleep schedule are all classic DIY mental health tricks, but I honestly don't know how helpful they would be for you.

Save caffeine for your worst days, I found it's quite easy to build a tolerance for it (albeit idk how it affects you). Eventually you'll be drinking energy drinks just to stay awake, and god knows how bad that is for you to do multiple times a day.

I prefer coffee for the busy days and energy drinks for when I need a kick asap. "Natural options" (coffee or tea) tend to make me feel satiated from food and feel comfy, while the "artificial options" make me feel upbeat and energized a bit more. Play with these two categories of caffeine, see what works for you.
