Things to check:
Temperature: too high or low and sleep doesn't easily start.
Hydration: too thirsty / too much water drunk recently ... same as above
Feelings: needing to use restroom, eat, etc can delay or prevent sleep.
And sometimes there is a 1h or so delay since a device was last used.
Hopefully u fall asleep soon and sleep well.

you say falling victim to myself is weak, so be it
Gosh I remember doing this everday just about, but one summer sleeping on a beach id usually watch the sunset and rise, nah not usually everday because id end uo falling asleep on the rocks somtimes and eithwr way id wake up to the morning light, now I occasionally do still but without the dope beach view.. sleeps a chore when you already struggle too sleep.

thank you deeply for your concern but honestly I havent slept yet because I chugged like 3 red bulls yesterday for shits and giggles. Im sure I will crash in about an hr lmaoooo.
