Involved lots of other substances, e.g. Alexander McQueen had taken sedatives. How would this work?

I think what I was asking when I wrote that was kind of, how would someone be able to use their hanging setup in a drugged up state, or guarantee that they would fall unconscious in the right direction for it to work etc. I can't really remember what I meant.

I don't think they were drugged to the point that they couldn't even use a rope.
