  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

Yes. I try to be as open mind as I can be. I still recognize many great things about my religion even when good chunks I dont agree with or consider correct. It is a source of comfort and it helps making sense of things that our current understanding of the world fall short of. Suicide is not permissible in the scripture and is said to be rewarded with hell of a loop that repeats the suicidal act but the divine law of mercy makes it possible that with good understanding of why a person had to resort to such act our of desparation or injustice makes such assertions about suicide afterlife punishement as a mere deterrent. There is a pattern in Sharia law where it is explained that legal punishments for Things like aduletry or stealing is not meant so much to be enacted as much as it is to deter people from doing these specific actions. So i still see a room in my religion to accommodate sinners including suicide because in all cases god's mercy and understanding supersedes his warning of punishment to those who deserve it

Also there are things mentioned in my religion about other dimensions, alien life, the nature of the universe and so on. It is very intriguing and i think these type of stuff make our world a stage of a sci-fi fantasy reality and we dont even know about it because it is just so obscured. It is a maybe and it will always be that way because we havent figure out shit about reality yet even with all our advancement and civilization i feel we are very primordial

I actually happened to think there is a possibility that 1 year ago I died from drug overdose and I woke up in an alternate time line where I survived the overdose but died in the other. I know it sounds crazy but before I passed out from the drug overdose I had a novel SI strong feeling that im going to die at that moment that almost resembled a game over screen from a horror videogame and then i fainted but later I woke up. I got clean since and my life has turned around but I cant shake the possibility that I may have died in my older time line a year ago like it felt i was and then I am living in a purgatory now where I am given a chance to work on myself. Sometimes i dismiss that possibility but then I read on a subreddit about some similar concept i forgot whats it called exactly quantum something. People were talking about the idea that consciousness can never be annihilated and so when we hear people died because of accidents and such they only died to us in our timeline but to them their consciousness has travelled into another timeline universe where they survive. Although i realize the unlikelihood and absurdity of the idea but i cant help sometimes to wonder if thats actually what happened to me because again after I od'ed i was certain that i will die.

What are your thoughts?
I think the same thing happened to me. On my last attempt someone that didn't even know I was doing it accidentally stopped me. I had a spiritually significant dream the same night wherein I died according to my plan, and then I woke up in my bed. I'm terrified I'm not going to be able to actually die.

I have this feeling like intensely! I've talked about it a bit but when I was way young I had a dream that was like in a long corridor with two rooms across from each other and my mom and sibling where in both rooms and then I chose one room. I felt like it was me choosing a timeline, but I always feel like I chose the wrong one :,)

And then when it was election night I drank so so much and time felt weird and bad and like it didn't exists and then I woke up the next day and I felt like I should've died and since I didn't that I'm in a doomed timeline

It's weird stuff, I always hope I can get another dream where I can choose to move to a better timeline again

Reminds me of the Goosebumps books I used to read as a child. There were these Choose Your Own Adventure ones (or whatever they were called), and you'd read until you got to a certain situation where you'd have to make a choice. The choices directed you to different pages, so it felt kind of like a video game. Of course, like a video game, nobody just put down the book when they made the wrong choices, but just went back and chose differently. Unfortunately, you can't just turn back the pages in life; This timeline's a one-way trip, for most human beings anyway.
