Okay so for some context I'm a math tutor and I absolutely love my job and i've never had a problem with any of my coworkers, except for this one guy. There was a day where he was nitpicking everything I did and naturally it pissed me off but I kinda just waited before really reacting and it seemed like maybe he was just having a bad day or something. So anyway time passes and he keeps saying things about how I do my job (mind you, i've been working at this job for over double of the time he has) but I brushed it off. Now last time I saw him he was about to leave (i think his last day was the day after) and he mentioned "you can't rely on me anymore" when I got a highschool student doing algebra 2. I asked for his help with a strategy one time. But whatever, brushed it off. Finally, we got to close and he starts talking about the way I tutor, seeming to think me not trying to be the "adult" and instead being like a friend or older sibling and so, still trying to be civil i say "I don't know, I think it's good to let the kids have some fun while they're here. their attitude is super important" That conversation continued and I don't know. It was right in front of the manager figure and she didn't say anything so I figured I was overthinking things. The only compliment i've ever gotten came from this conversation was how well I managed the kids game time (10 minutes if they're there for an hour, 15 for 90 minutes). I don't know if I'm being sensitive about it or if I'm right for feeling angry at him.
