• Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

Speaking of communes, I worked (volunteered) on a kibbutz in Israel. I helped manage the olive farm. 🫒 and no, I'm not Jewish lol (because I know you asked that question (probably facetiously) on a different thread) - if you count that 🤷‍♀️
There's a good chance some of the people you have seen there were killed on October 7. Hamas attacked the kibbutzim.

Why were you in Israel?
Simply answer - world traveler. My family likes to travel a lot. I grew up between the US and France. Lived in Vietnam, Korea, Dubai, Macau, ect. My mom did the same thing when she was young so I was just curious. 🤷‍♀️

A strange question but to any anarchists here: What do you think of National Anarchism/Anarcho-Fascism? (Yes, despite what zoomies say, its a real ideology and not a JREG meme)

They are bumbling offshoots that totally contradict the overarching ideas that anarchism has managed to hold onto. They remind me of the phrase "Rules for thee but not for me!"

I'm not the typical anarchist who will do

The 100 Bellamy whatever the hell we want

I'm more of a "rebel" who, in most cases, will do exactly the opposite of what has been told. Like, right now a school in my country forbade the use of smartphones on the territory of the school even in the rest times between classes.
If that had happened when I was in school, I would have left the school administration without internet by DDOS-ing them, by physically frying the router or if they go too far, send them a computer virus that only a handful of people in my country (myself included) know how to get rid of. 🤣
Basically, for every ban they issued, I'd make their life miserable.

Is anyone an anarchist? Or upon reading David Graeber's "Are You An Anarchist? The Answer May Surprise You!", find themselves oddly similar to one? How do you practice it in life?
I would not like to go into the full extent of my practices due to their nature
But I believe I've caused a lot of harm to a lot of wealthy people over the years
If someone is in possession of more money then they need to last their entire lifetime, and do nothing to help the starving people dying in our streets, their existence is in turn a detriment to the human race

Anarchy makes no sense.
Even despite the arguments in this article.
In general, it stinks terribly of populism. Something like communism. Everything seems to be fine, equality for workers, etc. but in practice it was a disaster.
A cardinal mistake was made from the very beginning: we humans are not "good" by nature. I would say we are more pragmatists. I guarantee that sooner or later some person/group of people will impose their opinion on the rest. It's always been like this and I don't know why it would be any different this time. Not every person can be a leader, and we are not equal. We cannot transcend our nature. At least not yet. It also cannot be implemented on a global scale. Maybe it will work in some small communities, but only in small ones.
That's my opinion.

Of course, I believe that the current system is very weak and has many flaws, but anarchy is not the solution and never will be. Not all change is good.

Ah, now I understand your point. Yeah, I'd say most anarchists support radical bottom-up democracy. Not top-down governments run by 4 year kings

In this 2016 diagram, note the arrows on the left. Power flows bottom-up

So, let's say your community of 36 households has a local assembly. Naturally, you wanna confederate into a neighborhood assembly. (For infrastructure, security, economies of scale...) So you send 2 delegates — always a guy & a gal — into the neighborhood assembly. And that assembly likewise sends 2 delegates to the municipal assembly

Those delegates aren't "representatives". They must consult about everything & can't make decisions on their own
