Anyone else have a stronger desire to be happy than to die?

I would not want to die if I didn't have so many problems that are difficult to fix. Yea if I could be happy, secure, enough money, low stress, friends, that would be great. Its avoiding destitution that is making me feel pressured to kill myself.
