Brewed coffee reminds me of visiting my grandparents when I was a child.
Brewed coffee is a thing of the past because nearly everyone has an espresso, Nespresso or Senseo machine now. So I never drink brewed coffee anymore. Except this one time a few years ago when I visited a coffee shop that was highly regarded for their coffee brew. When I took my first sip all I could think about were my grandparents, and the time I spent at their home, both family visits and sleepovers. I must've sat there with my eyes closed for minutes, cup in hand, remembering.
I'm glad to have formed this strong association and drink no coffee brew to keep it healthy. But in the very rare occasion that I choose to drink coffee brew, it's to 'visit' my grandparents. These memories are the closest I can get to my grandparents now.
