Best type of shotgun to use? Angles?

Hello everyone. I am getting surprisingly closer and closer to my chosen date.. I am just trying to figure out which shotgun to use, I heard it's best to use a Mossberg 500 but I don't know much about calibers & barrels. I know I should use a slug, so that's what I will be using. I also worry about missing the spot (brain stem) and I'm trying to figure out how to know which angle is right, I'm not that good with angles and I don't want to fuck this up. I know it's relatively easy to shoot yourself through the roof of the mouth but I still want to make sure I don't end up disfigured! Can anyone please give me any tips? I've gone shooting before and will go shooting again soon to steady my balance & practice. It's so easy to blow your brains out but so incredibly hard… I will also go to another state for this, and I have been making preparations.

I always imagined a 30 to 45 degree angle would be best, 0 in this case meaning straight up towards roof of mouth. Larger angle would favor brain stem, lower angle would favor mass of brain. Taking pictures of yourself for reference helps, with a pole or something for simulation and practice/muscle memory. Then overlay an MRI of someone on your head to get a general idea. Yes it will be slightly imprecise, but luckily it's a shotgun (yes, ik it's a slug, but still, massive round), so a few degrees off probably won't make too much of a difference.

Have 0 knowledge on guns. But based on what I've seen, shotgun pointed anywhere on your head will not just do the job, it will destroy your head.

You're right on that, the last thing you want to do is end up a vegetable. Guns aren't legal hear but from what I understand you wanna use a 12 gage and aim for the amygdala. Slightly upward from the neck. I hope you don't do it though. At least fire a gun first before you aim it at yourself. Otherwise you don't know if it even fires

Thanks, I think I managed to find the spot but I'm still a bit skeptical. I don't want to end up a vegetable but I'm pretty sure a 12 gauge with a slug to the soft palate will do the job..

maybe you'll actually take a moment to comb through what i've laid out here let's be real — every shotgun is absurdly lethal at point-blank range , no matter what kind of ammo you're packing but here's the kicker : it's all about dialing in that perfect angle don't act like you didn't see it coming

consider grabbing a pen or a sharpie to rough-sketch your sweet spot — think of it as a tactical doodle session once you've got your marker warmed up , try pressing it against the exact center of your forehead or brushing it gently along your temple both spots hit like a boss when you've locked in the right tilt and trajectory just keep your grip steady , or you'll end up looking like a rookie with a jammed piece

from the attached image, it looks like the amygdala is roughly behind the eyes. So pulling the trigger when the shotgun is pressed on the eye and pointing straight to the back of the head ought to do it. Or if placed against the roof of the mouth, pointing up about 30 to 45 degrees (depending on how far back in the mouth the end of the barrel is)

In other words, if I understand it correctly, a gunshot to the temple is more likely to be lethal than a gunshot pointing straight back from the mouth to the back of the head. I believe their rational was that a GSW to the temple, if it penetrates the skull, can destroy bot hemispheres of the brain whereas pointing it straight back might only destroy one? But the article doesn't discriminate between handguns and shotguns. I would guess that a 12 gauge shotgun would achieve adequate destruction of both hemispheres even if inserted into the mouth?

For this purpose any 12 gauge from a reputable manufacturer will work. Your are only going to take one shot so it doesn't matter if it is a pump action or semi automatic. Pump action is less money. I have a mossberg 500 with an 18.5 inch barrel. A intraoral shot with a slug is a close to foolproof as it gets. It will blow a significant amount of your brain into oblivion and what is left will be damaged from the heat and shock wave.
