I don't have any tattoos but have multiple ear piercings - a tragus, a conch, 6 lobes and 2 cartilage piercings.
I used to have an industrial years ago. I loved that piercing and regret taking it out. I'd get it again but it hurt soooo much and took like a full year to heal.

I've tried my tragus on both ears multiple times and it's never worked out. I've had to take them out during healing every time. It makes me sad because I really love the look of that one and there's so many cool types of jewelry for it these days. 😫

I also had a rook piercing at one point and my ear had a terrible reaction to it and it got so swollen that I had to have the jewelry cut out at the hospital. It seems like in my older age, my body doesn't process ear piercings anymore. It's a shame because I just love the unique jewelry you can get for them.

I pierced my earlobes myself when I started transitioning and they look great. I wanna get a bunch of other piercings, an industrial, a navel piercing, and nipple piercings, I don't think I would trust myself to do those myself though. 🤭

This thread might inspire me to use my next paycheck to just go ahead and get all of those...

Do it! Treat yourself. You get one life, might as well enjoy it even if you've only got a short time left!

I would definitely get a professional to do the industrial and nipples for sure. The industrial is hard to line up yourself to have the bar sit properly. And I think it would take a lot of guts to pierce your own nipples lol. I'll say from experience though, nipple piercings were some of the least painful piercings I've had. So don't be freaked by that! It also healed really fast with no complications. The industrial takes a longggg time to heal, but it's worth it.

You might be able to do the bellybutton yourself. But I think I'd still probably recommend a professional just to be sure. I think a lot of places offer discounts for multiple piercings in one session too. I say go for it!!!

I also have super sensitive skin (Scottish descent= red hair and almost translucent skin I'm so pale) and I've never had any reactions to the ink in tattoos. I heard the most reactive colour is red, so as long as you stayed away from red you'd likely be fine! I have a bit of red in one of my tattoos and I had no issues with it though.

Go get an ear piercing! What's stopping you? You can always take it out if you don't like it, no?
Maybe sometime in future. Honestly it's hard to think about anything in life rn. At the bare minimum I want to hit gym.

Initially I really wanted to get an industrial, but I was told that my ear anatomy was not suitable for one (the skin was too thin?) so I settled for a tragus.

My most recent one was the conch. This one was the most painful to get, and took over a year before the swelling went down and I could downsize the piercing...it was initially an 8mm but now that it is fully healed, I can fit in an 6mm 16 gauge.

I used to go to the piercing shop and stare at all the beautiful jewellery they sold but they were soooo expensive, until I saw that you can purchase them much cheaper online. Have you seen the BVLA jewellery?

I have more piercings than I do tattoos. A double helix, both nostrils, septum, and vertical labret. I did them all myself throughout the years, with a piercing kit I bought online. 😅 probably not the smartest thing I've done, but they've all turned out alright. My ears are stretch to 3/4.My original goal was 00g but I kept saying "Seems kinda small.. what if we go just a little bigger?" Haha.

I have a spooky black cat tattoo on one inner forearm, from elbow crease to wrist and a small Bender(from Futurama)'s head on my other forearm.

Next tattoo goal, if possible - is something Western. Maybe in tribute to Arthur Morgan from RDR2. (I'm obsessed with cowboys lol)

I haven't! I'll have to check it out. I buy a lot of my cheap costume jewelry from SHEIN or Temu. I can't argue with $2 earrings 😅

That's exactly what I'm worried about too lmao. I just did my next stretch to a 4g (5mm) before dinner tonight. I have plugs up to 00g and I keep looking at them being like "those look tiny now" 😅

I love the look of the 9/16".

I'd love to see the spooky black cat! I have a real life spooky black cat named Salem 🐈‍⬛

I have plenty of Temu jewelry too! You definitely can't argue with $2 earrings. The only problem is that they lose their sparkle, and also when I take out the earring out, the earring has turned black. I have also purchased some flatbacks for my conch from Ondaisy, I believe they are based in Korea.

Salem is adorable! I have recently started fostering cats and this is my 10 month old foster cat.
