As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. I have had enough of life. I have nothing to live for, so I'm deciding to introduce something new to brighten up my miserably life. The pain of existing never fades no matter how hard I try, and maybe beating my brain into a fuzzy stupor will lighten things up a bit.

I am looking for something strong, and sweet-tasting, that I can drink neat. I have no available mixers, and I am aiming to get very drunk so I can forget about everything.

one of my second-cousins was homeless/squatting for a while and would mix whiskey with tea or decaff coffee. You said to not say anything re not doing it, so I won't, but to quote the matrix; 'You have been down that road, and you know exactly where it ends'. It's all your choice.

cheers all the same! I'll be drinking with you lol

Take two glasses of wine and sniff some Ketamine. That will ease your pain for sure. Its an anesthetic. You wont find something stronger than this. You won't have a hangover.

Gotta be honest, I have turned to drink during some of the worst periods of my life. It's a good thing I'm not predisposed towards alcoholism because I actually love the feeling of being drunk. Everything is less painful physically and I become a bit of an extrovert while trashed. Having said that, coca cola and whiskey are an easy go-to. Just don't go too crazy on the ratio of whiskey or it's pukesville. Cheers.

Loads of people hate it but I like a few beers and a few bumps, it's supposed to be an anti-depressant too....so yeah that's why I use it ;)

I'd avoid alcohol because it has a depressant effect and makes you feel worse overall. I admittedly use intoxication (through various means) as a means of escapism but it doesn't help in the end.

While "anti-depressant" means "against depression", "depressant" means "sedative", something that decreases brain activity, as opposed to stimulant. It varies on person to person basis how alcohol makes them feel.

I'd take anything to escape depression -most scared of meds - anything else, yes. I'd try it at least once.

I've definetly turned to alcohol many many times as its so easy to get and makes me less anxious than trying to get illegal shit like weed, even if its less harmful.
(I got extremely fucked up couple of days ago to numb the pain. I don't remember much but it's basically 2 days of life lost, ended up sleeping outside in the rain bc i felt so bad for my roommate having to put up with me in that state. Dont recommend sleeping out, just makes u more of a burden. Been trying to stay sober since then but it's extremely hard, might break soon.)

Anyway, here's my list of not-so-nasty alcohol of my choice from cheapest to expensive:

A BIG plastic bottle of strong beer (Van Pur strong is sweet, has 7,2%)
Cider
White wine
Liqueur of your choice (i rly liked the Baileys idea, that shit yummy)
Vodka (pls dont get the cheap kind)
Whiskey or gin, if you like it.

And if you want to die and have the money, Tatratea is the Slovak way to go. ♥

I need to make my beer run but I'm pacing back and forth in my room due to generalized anxiety (fearing something might go wrong). What mediocre mental illness eh lol.

Cheers buddy!
I usually drink every 2nd day and have done for months and since I am going shooting for the first time since the lockdown on saturday which would be 3 days away if I didn´t drink today would be risky since I might be physically addicted so I am kind of excited to go shooting again at the gunclub it´s the only place I get social interaction so I wanna be clear minded since it afterall has been over 3 month since they closed due to lockdown.

Your going to a gunclub? Man i hate to ask you this question but, isn't it kinda tempting?

Yeah i drink every second day aswell, i find that if i drink everyday i don't get a good buzz going. Plus i like the adrenaline and endorphing release i get when i purchase the beers and i'm heading home to drink them...alone lol. I used to drink with a few guys in a small forest by the highway, those where the days man.

So what is your favourite gun?

I've got a lot of experience in drinking away the pain.
It works well at the time, but then you have the guilt and shame of the dumb shit you said and did while drunk on top of the burdens you already had. My life probably wouldn't have been half the disaster it was if I hadn't been drunk all the time.
Self destructive + manic depressive + alcohol = how to fuck up your life.
It's the snake eating it's own tail: Get drunk to forget the dumb shit you did, do dumb shit while drunk, get drunk again to forget that dumb shit, do more dumb shit.

That said, I recommend Grey Goose vodka. That shit is smooth.

What is tempting? Believe it or not on the gun range is the only place I don´t think about suicide I concentrate on my sights, breathing, stands, trigger pull etc it´s almost like meditation for me, also did you know that when you fire a gun rapidly (semi auto or full auto) you get a dopamine release within 100ms and after you´re done shooting you calm down by feeling the endorphine rush like if you were working out so I am always so calm doing my ride home and suicide free while shooting because there is so much to concentrate on.

I mostly like very old guns like from WWII but my favorite guns are probably
- Handguns. Glock 19 9mm but I can´t own that in Denmark since it´s too short I even have a 1½cm extended barrel on my Glock 17 9mm because of the 21cm requirement on handguns.
- Submachine guns is the Thompson 1928A1 45. but I can´t own that in DK legally.
- Rifles Ak47 with a folding stuck and drum mag

But I also love so many older guns like the Luger P08, Walther p38, The Zastava pistol models like the M57, or basically any Zastava pistols and the Tokerev. And one of my favorite rifles besides the AK47 is the M1 Carbine it´s a close runner up to the AK even though it´s a carbine not an AK and also the Ruger mini-14 but most of these guns I have mentioned I can´t own in Denmark. I think it´s also worth nothing that I really love history that might be why I love those older guns, and I also have a Walther Colt 1911 but in 22. lr I just think most modern handguns looks so much alike while the older ones were more unique and had some charm.

Can I answer, too?
Mine's the M-1 Garand. I shot them in competition when I was a teen.
Still don't own one, but I do own a 1943 Lee Enfield Mk IV.
I'm a rifle guy. And I agree with everything TheGoodGuy said about being at the range. It's one of my favorite places to be.

Wish you tagged me I coudl´ve missed your post, but I agree the M-1 Garand is an amazing rifle even though I have never fired it before I love it, My dad also have an old and rusty Mauser K-98 rifle that I think would be unsafe to fire unless cleaned for some rust it´s not bad though so it might work but I love these old guns also the K-98 is one hell of a heavy rifle.

But seriously basically every firearm from WWII was beautiful also the MP40 I love that gun also the grease gun, and sten gun is beautiful.

The M-1 Garand's last round empty clip popping sound is the most satisfying feature i find. Nice choice.

i did some time in the military, I got to shoot the Colt Canada C7, C6 medium machine gun,C9 A2 light machine gun, rocket launchers and other goodies. It was quite some time ago but yeah, i'm sure i forgot all the negative bullshit when i was on the range.

Have you fired the Thompson 1928A1? Aren't those rare nowadays?

I managed to get my beer so thanks for the distraction [Thegoodguy] and [good4nothing].

OP, alcohol breaks down your body and may worsen your depression. May I suggest that you try kratom instead. It's not necessarily healthy either, but not as bad as alcohol. 5–10 minutes after I've taken it I'm perfectly calm and there are no problems in the world. Kept me alive for half a year. You need to check if it's legal in your country first, though; it's scheduled in about 20 countries, if I remember correctly.

(Normally I wouldn't recommend kratom, but I can tell that you've reached the I-don't-give-a-shit stage.)

I wouldn´t know I never fired any of them I only fired 5 rounds out of a rifle in my life still won a shooting competetion with 26 people age 16-60 when I took my hunters license (bragging I know)
Btw: What guns do you use on the gun range you said you agreed with me on the none suicidal thought and calmness on the gun range so assume you shoot guns too.

Never seen one in real life and never fired one I just love them they looks so beautiful, don´t get me wrong I love modern rifles like the Ar15 but I´d rather choose a Thompson, Ruger mini-14, Ak47 or pretty much any rifle over that one since it´s just to boring looking, a full automatic M4 on the other hand like in the movie Heat hell yeah it´s awesome!

Hey Goodguy, what do you think of the WW2 German StG 44 Sturmgewehr? She would probably be to your liking because she looks like an Ak almost.

I have never been to a civilian gun range, i've only been on a military firing range, well multiple because we had to try out different weapons and instruments of war and such.

Nice job on winning that competition, very impressive, especially for a first time rifle user. You must have your breathing technique down good so yeah you could stand watch with me as my fire team partner any day of the month lol.

Why do some rifles look boring to you? Is it the lack of oak?

*PING!*
I was actually annoyed my first day of competition that I had to shoot an 'antique' rifle. I fell in love with it by the end of the day, though. I was shooting 2 inch groups at 100 yards, and these were timed events - not a lot of time to concentrate. I think it's the best rifle ever made.

Most kick? The Enfield. Thing kicks like a mule. It'll hurt ya.

I love the Sturmgewhr it was also alledgedly the inspiration for the AK47 by Mikhail Kalashnikov.

And the competetion was just a fun night at the end of the hunters license course but I was very arogant about it even saying to my parents before I drove over there I would win and I won a damascus knife but the competetion was hitting targets on a smarboard using a real shotgun with lasers instead of shells and only 3 live bullets for the rifle and I had shot 2 rifle bullets before but I am generally talented with any firearm with a stock on it and mediocre with handguns.

I like old fountain pens - so I can imagine old guns are great to handle. But I do like the idea of learning to shoot. In the UK. I think it would be a thrill, and nothing I've ever done before.
