  • Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

*PING!*
I was actually annoyed my first day of competition that I had to shoot an 'antique' rifle. I fell in love with it by the end of the day, though. I was shooting 2 inch groups at 100 yards, and these were timed events - not a lot of time to concentrate. I think it's the best rifle ever made.

Most kick? The Enfield. Thing kicks like a mule. It'll hurt ya.
Hey i play a game called Day of Defeat that you can get off steam, WW2 game that i still play to this day. It has the M1 Garand and it has the *PING* sound when you finish a clip. Very satisfying even in simulation

I knew the Lee Enfield would have more of a kick, i heard it has that reputation.
I love the Sturmgewhr it was also alledgedly the inspiration for the AK47 by Mikhail Kalashnikov.

And the competetion was just a fun night at the end of the hunters license course
Ah so thats where the Russians got their design for the AK.

Where you going for the hunting license to hunt some game? If so what do you hunt?

On my second beer btw. Cheers!

I like old fountain pens - so I can imagine old guns are great to handle. But I do like the idea of learning to shoot. In the UK. I think it would be a thrill, and nothing I've ever done before.

Shooting's a hoot. Get your butt to America, I'll take you to the range.

OP, alcohol breaks down your body and may worsen your depression. May I suggest that you try kratom instead. It's not necessarily healthy either, but not as bad as alcohol. 5–10 minutes after I've taken it I'm perfectly calm and there are no problems in the world. Kept me alive for half a year. You need to check if it's legal in your country first, though; it's scheduled in about 20 countries, if I remember correctly.

(Normally I wouldn't recommend kratom, but I can tell that you've reached the I-don't-give-a-shit stage.)
I checked it out and it sounds really interesting, would you mind sharing how high is the typical dose of kratom to feel something?

Depends highly on how much you have used opioids (it's not an opioid, though) and, of course, your individual tolerances. I'm opioid naive and I only need 1–5 grams to feel good; nowadays, I only take 1–2 grams and it works fine for me. I've never taken higher doses than around 10 grams, and it made me puke, but people with much experience of drugs can take 20–30 grams or more.

Here are some very rough estimates for a, so to speak, average person. Take them with a grain of salt, or better yet a whole handful.

<3 grams: Relaxing effects and lighter sedating effects.
3–5 grams: Normal dose. Sedating effects, seldom if ever euphoric effects.
5–8 grams: Stronger sedating effects, sometimes euphoric effects.
>8 grams: Outright opioid-like effects.

The jury is out on whether kratom is addictive or not, so I suggest you start low and go slow, provided that you actually give a fuck, of course.

I wish I had never started drinking. It's ruined my relationships and life. It's escapism.

Please find another outlet.

Agreed, but when you are absolutely miserable there is something so comforting about how numbing liquor is.

I struggled with the drink for a while. A single dose of hallucinogenics managed to flip my perspective on it, and then some maintenance doses after the fact kept me off it for good.

I haven't had a drink in a couple of months now and i've never felt better.
