604. To @Namelesa and anybody else reading this, out of curiosity, would you say that the majority of people have a genuine intrinsic will to live? I personally think that they don't as the only reason why they want to live in the first place is because of all the pro life indoctrination presented in cartoons and movies of "don't give up" and "keep on fighting" and "pursue your goals", not because they have some sort of intrinsic will to live. If I were to raise a kid to believe in the antinatalist and efilist conclusions, I bet that they would grow up to believe in such things and try to take their own lives. What do all of you think about this?
Good for clarifying that SI is intrinsic as everyone has that from birth. I think most people would still choose to live if their life was more positive than negative but otherwise might choose to die if less painful and more effective methods were more easily accessible as without those suicide is still difficult to do.606. I should clarify that I still do believe that we have an intrinsic will to not go through the dying process of course as that's just baked into our biology
610. That may be possible but I honestly doubt that after realising at how there are kids in Afghanistan who would just blow themselves up in a suicide jacket as they have been programmed by people to believe that what they're doing would cause them to go to heaven. I personally believe that everything is determined by the brain and that, if you program people to be pro life, they will most likely be pro life and, if you program people to be pro mortalist, they will most likely be pro mortalist. I'm assuming in this hypothetical that the person being raised in question doesn't have access to outside resources.Good for clarifying that SI is intrinsic as everyone has that from birth. I do wonder hypertheoretically what would that child do if it was raised to believe that life as a neutral thing instead of pro-lifers or efilsts way of seeing it?
608?
I still believe some people will still stay here if their lives are more positive cus of SI incentivising them to not to die but would probably change their mind later on in life when it gets more negative. People are more driven by the easier thing to do often times so they will most likely continue to live as thats the thing that gives the best short term feelings to them.610. I have no idea what would happen if you try and give them a neutral way of thinking. What even is a neutral way of thinking?
610 you are more of a try hard than me hehe. I was so surprised when you responded so quickly when I went to work on my game for a bit and there are no other posts here being made.611 - maybe...
611 - somedays, other days I just feel exhausted so not as active, but today there's a reason, NFL playoffs, not a fan but just something I find semi-entertaining to pass time + counting game heheyou are more of a try hard
