  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

I must have canceled or deleted close to a thousand comment on social media and forums just in the last few years, I can have written what I want to say and just before posting it I will just delete it or sometimes I will post it an after a couple of minutes regret it and delete it anyone else does this?

Yeah, you're not alone with that. I remember seeing people talk about that on various depression related forums. :D

Pew good it isn´t just me I bet it´s because of lack of confidence and self-esteem or something like that. It doesn´t even have to be comments that are controversial by any means.

Same here. I get anxious that I might offend someone (which admittedly isn't too rare) or come off as stupid. It's even worse when you can't delete once you've submitted.

Yeah, I get what you mean. I think this lack of confidence leads to overanalysing your own comments and judging them way too hard. I do that too. Sometimes I try to write something funny or witty and then I read it back and I'm just like: "wth was I thinking, that's the unfunniest thing I've ever read"

Yeah, and I do it all the time on here as well. For me, a lot of it has to do with not wanting to engage further after leaving a comment and feeling like 'hit and run' commenting can be shitty in a lot of contexts so it's better for me to refrain.

But I also compulsively overanalyze everything I write, and that's a problem for me.

Yes I overthink everything out of anxiousness. I stopped using facebook because I would post something and have anxiety about it all day. I also have anxiety before/after I send an email, text or message.

I also sometimes create illustrations but usually discard them immediately after finishing.
