That's why I think it's important for people to see this. If they can't handle the outcome then I don't think it's fair to inflict it onto others.
I can understand why people who ctb wouldn't want to see this this
This is a great resource. But also i think people should know they don't need to watch these. It can be traumatising depending on the person watching's state of mind. Not so for people who are used to watching videos on wpd.
Someone further down said if you're not prepared to watch them then you shouldn't inflict your ctb on others because this is what they'll find, but that's not a valid point since hopefully no-one is going to see the process. They'll find the body afterwards. Yes upsetting and traumatising but very different to seeing the intent beforehand and the death throes.
I'd advice caution to anyone who hasn't watched someone die by ctb before. I still remember the video I first saw of someone full suspension hanging and I can still recall every move they made. I wish I'd never watched it. Since then, I've also looked at wpd occasionally and don't feel as affected any more but I consider that a negative thing and I only do it as a form of self-harm.
This shit is so traumatizing but personally I think it's important for anyone wanting to attempt any kinda ctb should see both successful and unsuccessful attempts of their chosen method
no I don't think it's important. It's a good resource for those who want to watch, but there's no necessity to watch to allow a successful attempt. I'm also concerned that the videos are introducing people to wpd which could be a big problem if they're unprepared.
having a life truly not worth living (sub5 male) is way more traumatizing than watching people getting dismembered alive tbh
Sorry but I really can't agree with that. How are the two comparable? Some of the stuff on wpd is potentially very harmful. You only have to realise that bystanders are laughing and joking while someone is tied up and burned alive, or dismembered to see the effects of habituation. I'm being perhaps hypocritical because I've watched wpd as a form of self-harm, but really it is truly disgusting and amoral and has no worth. What worth is there in watching someones agonising death in various ways, torture? It reinforces anyones views if they think it is ok to do this level of cruelty, or at least reinforces someone's views that humans are inherently evil. Which can't be beneficial in any way.
