By the title of the post you can probably assume I feel inadequate or something but no this isn't about that. I was reading the Bible and I remember a verse from Mathew 5:30 that made me question a couple things about myself. After reading it I had the thought to cut off my penis but then I thought that "hey maybe that verse is just Jesus using a metaphor" or atleast I made excuses saying that. Many people argue with me by saying the Bible has tons of crazy rules like you cant wear androgynous clothing or you have to marry your rapist but all the crazy verses are from the old testament and for the most part Christians don't have to follow that. Now the old testament we take as a parable and parts of it as law. Surprisingly enough, Jesus was actually very loose with the laws he passed onto man. Most of the anti gay speech or mysiogonistic verses were handed down by Paul and John. But the verse I remember from Jesus as a rule of thumb was Matthew 5:30

"And if your right hand causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to go into hell."

I know I struggle with masturbation and so it made since I should cut off my penis, I probably won't but just think of how silly it would be to risk your eternal salvation for something as mortal as a dick? Plus I'm Ace so it's not like I have any reproductive use for it anyway. I found out how I could do it on quora, apparently a rubber band and dry ice could do the trick since I would need to cut off blood circulation to my member and possibly freeze it before cutting. Now of course IF I did do this I would need to treat myself somehow but that would be pointless too because I would still need to self immolate at one point. Now this would also have to include my left hand and if I go by his exact words my right eye must go too. If I can find someone willing to do that surgically then those parts would be gone in an instant. Of course these thoughts or just thoughts and I have a feeling that Jesus is being hyperbolic but if God tells me to do it then I do it without a single question asked.
