Just saw the Trans in sports debate pop up on Youtube (guess I clicked one too many political centrists today), IMHO sports aren't that big of a deal, in fact nothing is, I would unironically compete in any activity if my opponent was an alien proven to be both physically better than I and more intelligent than I. Yes this discussion is based on that, in fact most 70% of the population is taller than me and should I ever compete , I would always place sub top 100 even if I am biologically male, without exception. You don't see me pearl clutching and crying, imagine being gated out of a sport, an activity that in theory is done for fun (even at higher levels but the players delude themselves) just BECAUSE YOU WERE BORN WRONG HAHAHAHA. You can't compete dummy, you were born wrong, it's not allowed. Obviously I get why the sex rules are placed in the first place , I'm not dense but sports in the first place are fucking POINTLESS.

Like who cares if some trans girl can hit top 100, THERE IS 99 people above HER?? she stole the place from the other girls, AND SO DID THE REST 99 WHO ARE GENETIC FREAKS? WOW! GENETICS, THE RNG SIMULATOR AND TOTALLY NOT DEHUMANIZING ASPECT OF LIFE , YIPEEEEEEEE, LET'S MAKE A WHOLE FUCKING GENRE OF ACTIVITIES BASED ON IT AND THEN THROW OUR HANDS IN THE AIR WHEN GENETIC FREAKS COMPETE AND WIN, YAY!!!

AND THEN IMAGINE GIVING OURSELVES AS A SPECIES SO MUCH IMPORTANCE THAT WE SEGREGATE EACHOTHER BASED ON SEX AND CLASS and discriminate against eachother based on the same things; THEN , imagine thinking we are allowed to do that and that if any higher being would look at us AND THAT IT WOULD SEE A DIFFERENCE AND CONGRATULATE US! HAHAHA, WE ARE ALL FUCKING WORMS IN THE EYES OF ANYTHING REMOTELY SUPERIOR TO US, ILL JUST TELL YOUR RIGHT NOW , THERE IS NO FUCKING DIFFERENCE, we are literal ants. ALL OF US ARE.

Who cares? sports were always meant as mere entertainment and coping from the fact that we'll die, everything is meant for quick dopamine and coping about the fact that we'll die. The ego of the humans, the pathetic vermin that plague this fucking planet and their superiority complex, we are nothing, a type 2 civilization would wipe us out in mere seconds and use us as paper towels and even those would pale to a type 3 civilization and these things are invented by us, who knows what an actual superior civilization would look like AND IF IT EVEN CARED, because if one human can think that life is pointless (me, I'm that one human) then;

Imagine what a super intelligent with a thousand year lifespan being would think about life itself, maybe it wiped itself out a long time ago, and of course humans would be happy because it couldn't affect us with it's thoughts because even if the Alien would be right about life , it can only force it's beliefs upon us if it's aliveee, obviously humans are very good at listening to an authority or advice that doesn't involve itself with us and forces us to listen. /FCKING SARCASM. (if an alien came to us , told us how to live to achieve peace and happiness and IT LEFT shortly after without forcing us to do anything , we would not do as it said because humans are vermin with a superiority complex and unmatched EGO and WE deserve every bad thing coming our way and I'm not going to even cry a single tear for this species , not one.)

In my humble opinion, which I can't enforce and therefore is useless because life is full of egomaniacs thinking they are the next big thing (as a side note, we are nothing and nor we will ever be more than a pile of ashes and dust in our graves the way we are going now) we should stop giving ourselves such importance, be more humble and shut the fuck up , basically I'm asking for the impossible, because of course such MENIAL tasks would be impossible for the almighty human race. Idk you're going with a very unpopular argument that would require changing a lot about how we see competitive sports instead of questioning the assumption that trans women have male bodies.
If a trans woman got on hrt before getting poisoned by male puberty there wouldn't be any possible advantages, for most purposes and specially this one she'd be basically female, so if we only allow those there won't be any good faith questions left.

The unfortunate ones that couldn't get medical treatment early enough have way bigger issues than not getting to play sports professionally, such as preventing more trans women from suffering that fate to begin with.
99% of trans issues would be fixed if they were simply given treatment early enough, but the mainstream progressive media won't focus on that angle because they need to keep the culture wars going, being intentionally shitty advocates is their role in the play.

Well I guess my argument is even more controversial than yours since it makes both of the big sides mad for different reasons

But its already proven that after estrogen impacts muscle mass they dont have an advantage at all. They're just straight up ignoring the actual facts of the situation for this shit so none of your solutions would work thats why they're doing this shit in fucking competitive chess too.

I know the studies and the years of it being allowed without controversy show that, but there would still be some theoretical differences like organ sizes that could be brought up, I think in the current political situation it's best to go with my solution because there wouldn't be any possible gotchas left at all, even theoretical.
I don't really think giving the malicious media even the smallest ammunition is worth it just for the tiny % of trans women in competitive sports that went through male puberty, they can just do something else with their lives, how is playing sports important when trans women are still being forced to end up like that to begin with? The root of all their issues is medical, focus on that and all other issues would be gone

Yeah, you can have endless culture wars about this. There is no solution that would make everybody happy.

If you have a category that can be defined in many ways (women), people can argue about who should be included/excluded until the end of times.

It's a very tricky subject. I used to think it was unfair but if it's actually true and trans women/ men don't retain some advantages then, I would stand corrected. I'm not convinced though. Some studies seem to suggest that advantages are retained:

It's trivial to you though OP I imagine more as a spectator. Imagine if you were good enough for it to be your potential job and possible future livelihood. Would you still be ok with (possible) unfairness being allowed if it meant you might miss out on a scholarship, admission into a team, the title of world champion and money that brings?

I do agree that we absolutely can be born with natural advantages/ disadvantages. Plus, in the regular world- we all have to compete with one another for jobs.

However, I suppose there is some effort made to level the competing field in sports. I suppose the message behind sports is that if you only work hard enough, you can push your body to become that fit. Allowing unfair advantages would start to upset the apple cart I guess.

Athletes are screened for drugs. Disabled athletes aren't pitched against able bodied ones. Men aren't usually pitched against women. There was a really interesting case where a type of trainer was banned. It had a flexible metal plate in the sole which gave the runner an extra spring. So many athletes were winning wearing these shoes that, they were classed as an unfair advantage and banned.

I think it's complicated really. It likely depends when a person transitioned. Still, if trans women especially consistently win over cis, while putting in equal amounts of training, it will become obvious that they do retain advantages.

I can understand that they want to be respected and recognized as women but, sports are primarily about competing and winning, while keeping to the rules. We consider it an unfair win if someone has an unfair advantage.
