  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

cutting with razors is so useless to me. i Have a thin single blade and using it just feels like getting a papercut, it also feels like it's doing close to nothing with how deep it goes. Is there any way to cut significantly deeper with razor Blades? wider and more impactful Cuts?

apply pressure on the blade by pushing it down on your skin before dragging it across, make sure that you keep applying pressure as you drag though.
another way is that sometimes i cut several times in the same spot to make it deeper, only issue with that is the blood getting in the way and making it harder for another clean cut ontop of that.

I'm not gonna like come on here and encourage sh because I've been there and it's not fun but I also don't want to see anyone get seriously hurt from it by doing it recklessly. So I'll offer some harm reduction (ironically named for what you're doing)
- You wanna make sure you're using brand new blades as that reduces the possibility of infection. For example I used to buy packs of pencil sharpeners and take the blade off of those. They're already extremely sharp so barely any pressure is needed for a deep cut, so absolutely be careful and DON'T use any pressure !!
- You should absolutely be disinfecting your blades and the area you're cutting beforehand with some rubbing alcohol, make sure to let it dry

I'll attach a SH aftercare guide for any other questions you might have.

Please be careful and take care of yourself

Yeah, you just apply more pressure. I don't recommend cutting deeper (or sh at all for that matter). It can be hard to gauge how deep you are cutting and deeper cuts require lots of aftercare, especially if you don't plan on getting stitches. Cuts past the dermis layer have a much higher risk of infection and can take a lot of time to heal. The healing process is also really fucking gross and can be stressful to deal with. The scarring that comes from deeper cuts is also a pain in the ass. You will probably have an increased chance of developing hypertrophic scars and your scars will be itchy and hard to hide. It's been several months and my scars still itch and they are more sensitive to pain.
