details about suicide in hotel room... the practical aspects

hypothetically, my first method, and hopefully last method, would be SN.
if that somehow fails...
i'm thinking probably hanging. partial, since i don't wanna do it publicly,
and most hotel rooms don't have any good anchor points for full suspension.

if THAT SHIT also fails, then fuck... i think at that point i'd be too tired to even go for a third method.
maybe jumping from somewhere, but it would have to be a secluded spot with nobody nearby.

but i don't want my body to be all rotten when they find me...
so i guess i'd do it the last day of my stay, so that i know someone will be opening the door soon if i don't check out.

i feel bad for whoever that'll be, but if it's by hanging, then i'll be wearing a head cover, so it's less traumatizing.

only downside to that plan, is that i wouldn't have time to recover from a (god forbid) unsuccessful suicide attempt.

i'd have to check out too soon.

so maybe i'll do it like 3 days before my check out... maybe even 5...
i would hypothetically need to rest very long after a potential (god forbid) fail.

SN rarely fails as far as you follow the protocol. Good luck. Really sorry you are in so much suffering. Whatever you decide I hope everything goes wll and find what you are looking for

Suggested protocol for hotels is to try to get a suite or something, so you can close a door and put a note on it saying to just call emergency services.

This way no one but the people used to this type of stuff will see you.

Cost may be an issue for some though.

According to non-fatal SN attempt list, the main reason is someone calling emergency service. And in this list members did something wrong in their attempts (I don't mean to criticize them at all, I believe they did the best at that point) such as drinking SN with 1.5L of water or orange juice. Needless to say SN Bible or other documents recommend that you make sure no one shows up for hours and take minimal water as possible. I doubt the success rate is no more than ~80% even though they followed the protocol completely. Anyway you made a good point about why SN sometimes fails. Thank you.

Wouldn't put too much stock in that list, doesn't have a statistically significant number of cases, many accounts are vague or missing details, and the list itself states that a number of reported attempts have questionable veracity. It's useful for some extra information but there's not much there for generalized conclusions.

Pretty much every failure I've seen from lists and attempt threads has either been the person vomited within the first minute or two or they called emergency services.

Sometimes both.

And the 83% success is pulled directly from the the SN Bible.
