As recommend by PPEH and on this site.
I got the CY-12C which is a Chinese "no name" Oxygen analyzer that needs 9V battery (not included) to work. The cheapest way is to order it on a Chinese shopping site like Alibaba. It would take about 2 weeks to be shipped overseas. There is a seller with genuine parts, that's indicated on the product description of the online shop. It comes with a bag and there is a (Chinese) certificate
- My test
I did not calibrate it before the test. I did select 50%. My room/flat window was not opened for 6 hours. The air according to my Co2 sensor is medium quality (not good, but not bad). So I got 19% Oxygen O2 level.
When I opened the window it did gradually rise to 20,5%. But then I did put the sensor near the window on the fresh evening air. It did rise to 21,8%.
There is also a YouTube video where an Southeast Asian guy confirms the accuracy of the CY-12C by comparing it with a medical (professional) Oxygen analyzer.
Also there is a Chinese study that used this device to conduct a study on hypoxia and oxygen level in Tibet.
- Regarding the usage to test of exit bag/hood works:
I would calibrate it on the normal air in the room that the inert gas method will be done. Move that "calibrate" knob right or left by finger till the display shows exactly 21.
One does not need the pump or the other accessory. Turn the device on "5", which measures accurately low single digit values of Oxygen and put it in the exit bag/hood. Then turn on the inert gas.
There is also a plastic tube with a filter, this can be connected to the gas hose. If you want to test the purity of the gas that comes from the gas bottle, regulator and hose.
