i have the feeling people from crowded city are somehow more likely to end up depressed
I used to live in a big city in a foreign country and I felt completely invisible, like a ghost of some sort. I only knew my roommates and that's pretty much it. I didn't know any of my neighbors. I was spending most of my time in my room.
I'm probably moving back there for work. No idea how I'm mentally going to handle the loneliness.
I think that's a big factor. I live in a city but it's not so big, yet I dread going out and using public transport, it's always crowded and I hate it. Sometimes I'm not having such a bad day but then I have to go out and it makes me miserable.i have the feeling people from crowded city are somehow more likely to end up depressed
When I went to school, I legit drove to the other side of the town and did my Walmart shopping at 3AM to avoid people at the grocery store. Those were the good ol' days. If I also wanted to avoid professors and other grad students seeing me buy alcohol by the cart, that's neither here nor there.I grew up in the suburbs so I really am not used to living in the city, I hate it. There's so many...people. I can't even walk into Walmart because there's so many people shouting and, no seriously why do people have to shout so much? My suburbs was rich old people towns so I miss the slow pace, the calmness. Everywhere was a lot cleaner and safer too. Here I feel like I'm in a frenzy of chaos.
That would be the stereotypei have the feeling people from crowded city are somehow more likely to end up depressed
