I used to fantasize about living in the Alps. In a mountain cottage. I liked to think that, if the environment were just so, then happiness would follow. And yet, there are people here from places that have been my 'happy places' - no one escapes the human condition, I guess.
Are there things you enjoy about living there?
I live in the suburbs now, quite rural. I can go on quiet walks every day. Just prior to that, I lived rurally, in the German countryside. I was depressed at the time but really loved it - it was magical. I've lived in a big city and in medium sized towns, too.
I wish that good place = good brain, good life.
