yes. ive been a terrible person and still can be despite trying so hard to be a good person. everything i do negatively impacts someone else in some way or another. im a burden on everyone.

No. Most people aren't. Working in a courtroom and with lawyers, seeing criminals, bad divorces, and scummy bastard businessmen, I can say with experience that there's a big gap between "not quite a good person" and a "bad person." Harming others, especially those weaker than you, defenseless, Innocent, etc., most of us can't do that purposefully.

I used to see myself as a complete monster. It wasn't until recently that I realized I wasn't. People aren't actually good or bad. People are too complex to just be categorized as one or the other and this type of thinking only leads to people being harmed. It's important to acknowledge the good, the bad, and everything in between. People who think of themselves as being bad just end up harming others and continuing down a path of destruction because they think that's all they'll ever be. They think that there is no point in trying to change. People who think of themselves as good just end up being unable to see the harm they've done because they think that they're the good guy. When yoi can see youraelf for the complex person you are, then you are better able to acknowledge all the aspects that make you you and you are able to take the time to try and improve yourself and do better.

It also doesn't help that what makes someone a good or bad person differs drastically from person to person, and from culture to culture. It's all bullshit at the end of the day. While I understand that our brains have a tendency to categorized things in order to make the world around us easier to understand but I don't think simplifying people down to good or bad is productive.

Because good is not exactly not bad, and not good is not exactly bad. I just want to see how people define or think of themselves when I give them a different word

Depends, if bad means doing something morally wrong then other than I'd say no for the most part. But if "bad" means lazy, incompetent etc. then yes, i am.

Like most of us, ive done bad things im not proud of now, but hopefully ive done enough good things to make up for it

No, I'd say at one point I probably did think I was a bad person but was able to eventually think in a purely practical manner and don't really get as many thoughts in regards to myself in a negative manner.
