Been excerising recently, like 15 minutes at a time else it makes me extremely unhappy. I'm not doing it to improve my mood, I just want to stay in shape, but like the normies are saying it's supoosed to make you feel better. Why is it I feel like shit when I'm excerising and then I go back to feeling however I was feeling before I excerised.

Anyone else just doesn't get any positive feedback from your body after excerising? Am I supposed to do it for longer? But then again I have sports sessions that's 1 hour and I feel better if I did good, and worse if I didn't perform well. There is the occasional day where I'm a bit happier afterwards, but those are rare.

It depends to be honest. Sometimes I feel amazing after a session, others I can't even finish it because my motivation simply isn't there. It's dependent on how your brain processes motivation and rewards, which is something you have to train if your brain even allows for it to be trained. Consistency is the biggest boon, so don't push yourself so hard that your break your rhythm.

I'm planning to start going to the gym to lose weight before ctb, but I'm not looking forward to it at all. For me it's only pain and no gain. I don't mind walking though.

Sometimes I feel great after, sometimes I can barely finish. I try to exercise 5x a week for an hour each time. Just tired of looking in the mirror and seeing a fat person lol so I push myself to do it. Honestly the only days where I look forward to doing it are the days where I have a lot on my mind. Exercise helps me forget about that stuff for a little bit. Other than that, I think people who love exercising are nuts lol

Generally I feel more satisfied with myself but you have to get into it, if it's a boring chore for you it may not work and you need to find the kind of routine that works for you.
Headphones and music throughout really helps me focus and unwind.
I think 15 minutes is to little, but it depends. What kind of excercise do you do?
I used to do martial arts when I was little it really shaped me a lot and was stupidly fun to do, I also really enjoyed that my sensei never glossed on the formalities of being serious and rigid during training, it really made me who I am now.

Exercise sucks. Don't enjoy during at ALL or after, and long after has no effect

It never did anything to me. When I wanted to get into shape, it helped me get into shape. That's it. I felt tired, physically, after exercising... sore later... but neither during nor after did I feel mentally any better. And when I got into good shape before, I still didn't feel mentally any better. I had someone arrogantly ask me once, "Don't you feel better now?" and I had to shut him down quickly with the reality... I was still alone, women still didn't like me, my job didn't suddenly pay me more money for losing weight... why should I feel any better? Everything was the same. Being in shape meant I could do things like running, which I didn't enjoy and only did to lose weight.

Meanwhile... if anything, exercise makes me feel worse mentally... because while I'm exercising I have nothing but more time to be inside my head and think of everything wrong in my life and in the world. Whenever I walk or run, all I do is ruminate without distraction about everything that sucks so hard. And if I do get into better shape and look better and nothing changes... then it's all for nothing, because I don't want to live longer in this horrible world, so it all amounts to making me feel worse.

no, it makes me strictly feel worse unfortunately~ :( It's physical pain that becomes mental pain because my mind is left without distractions too long, leaving it open to becoming depressed and sewer slidal extremely easily~ plus, it's hard to feel nice-looking after because you're all sweaty~ >_< so then, you have to shower, but I dislike showering because it also leaves one's mind without distractions, usually compounding the pain you just felt to be even worse~ >_<
however, just doing a few things quickly and making sure you don't get sweaty is fine~ :) is that even exercise at that point tho? Personally tho, I wish I just had irl's to play games with again and count that as exercise instead~ :/

I'm not the biggest fan of it but when I do it I do it until I can't anymore. I find the agony does distract me but collapsing in the middle of nowhere isn't exactly the best idea so I don't reccomend it. (Sorry for yapping)

For me its not the workout itself that makes me feel better. It is the feeling after the workout. Knowing I did something productive even though my mind was telling me to stay in bed. Like others mentioned cognitive behavioral therapy is a great way to retrain your brain. It can make your bodies mental reaction react positively to working out, or using it as a coping mechanism. There are also many different types of workouts. Walking around outside with headphones can be a nice release. Others prefer, yoga or boxing, soul cycle etc. I think the key to getting into enjoying working out is to set really minimal goals at first. For example work out for 10 minutes 3 times a week. Then go from there. If you miss a day, there is always tomorrow. At the very least, working out made me sleep better and actually look forward to eating.

I see the general consensus is "fuck no", honestly not too surprising.
It depends to be honest. Sometimes I feel amazing after a session, others I can't even finish it because my motivation simply isn't there. I find if it's something that stresses me or I find annoying, I can't really make my brain get used it. I will continue to dislike it. I can always force myself to do it, just taxing is all.

Generally I feel more satisfied with myself but you have to get into it, if it's a boring chore for you it may not work and you need to find the kind of routine that works for you.
Headphones and music throughout really helps me focus and unwind.

I do like my sport, despite me sometimes not having the energy to go sometimes. I do show up almost every session and usually, it's just annoying at the start then I get into it and maybe enjoy the time. It's usually not stressful unless it's summer heat or I'm stressing on performance. I think I could try talking to someone while excerising? Since right now I find it boring and that's the main problem.

I'm not the biggest fan of it but when I do it I do it until I can't anymore. I find the agony does distract me but collapsing in the middle of nowhere isn't exactly the best idea so I don't reccomend it. (Sorry for yapping)
I do like sprinting at full speed but I do it cause I like sprinting, I can't exactly call it an excerising cause I can sprint for like 15 seconds then I have to slow down. I prefer to just SH if I want pain. I also don't sprint often cause I feel I attract too much attention sprinting in the streets. (this is barely a yap dw about it)

It doesn't make me feel good, but I guess it makes me feel better about myself when I really think about it. Less useless. Really reflecting on it, that's when it makes me feel "happy" (more like accomplished)

I want to pick up swimming again soon, I find it to be very relaxing. But currently I'm too weak. Not in a competitive way so there's no chance I'll underperform.

The Real reason many claim exercise makes you feel better, is because it uses energy that your body may otherwise use on negative things (chronic inflamation, for example)
So long term; people feel healthier and better when exercising.

Years ago I had a bit of the post exercise high. Now it's more that I kept at it and the results are starting to show. I also blast music and am doing weights so it helps with anger. Playing sports was a bit different, the team has a goal (or a personal one) and achieving that feels good.

See, reading about the benefits of exercise like this makes me try again. But I can only walk and I just find it unbearably boring. Sigh.

I wish I could make myself totally exhausted so I didn't have the energy for worrying.
