  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

I'm curious if anyone has any in depth information regarding assisted suicide. I know its legal in some states. Do you have to have a terminal disease? If so, is it a difficult process? Since I dont have what it takes to take my own life, I'm looking forward to doing this as soon as i find out i have some kind of terminal disease.

How do you get a terminal disease? If you find a way let us know because there are many on this site that would feel relieved and overjoyed should a doctor tell them they have 3 months left to live and access to as much pain relief they like.

Look up Dignitas, they are the biggest organization doing assisted suicide I believe. You do not need to have a terminal illness, it can be a psychical disability as well. I haven´t heard anyone being accepted purely on mental issues though. The costs are about 10 k euros +-. They take care of all the paperwork and your funeral as well. The process takes at least a couple months. You need to go to several doctor interviews and when you get their "green light" you can tell them to prepare the assisted suicide in Sweden.

In the US you can only get it if you are terminally ill, have less than 6 months to live, and at least two doctors have confirmed it. Then you have to find a doctor who is willing to give you the medication.
