Anxious mess

I've been doing some soul-searching lately and realized that my suicidal thoughts are almost entirely related to having social responsibilities.

What really worries me is having to work to create wealth, having strict deadlines, administrative obligations, and forced interactions with others.

I know it's impossible to live completely outside of society like a hermit, unless you're very rich and/or very resourceful, which I'm not. I'll never be able to no longer depend on medicine, for example.

I'd still like your opinions. Do you think that escaping adult responsibilities would ease the suffering or, on the contrary, aggravate it?

Do you have any tips for making adult life less horrible?

Living in the world does suck and it's not for everyone. I don't really like it either. Technically, you could live outside of society, as a monk for example, or something less radical like by getting your income from farming or things related to nature. People gotta work at distant outposts, lighthouses, forested areas, etc. Could be something that interests you.

It eases the suffering for sure. Social responsibilities by themselves don't make me suicidal, but they definitely exacerbate the issue. Just letting go of having to deal with anybody else's bullshit is a nice reprieve.

I think it's about finding what is right for you personally. Certainly it is easier for an introvert to be reclusive, but it's healthy to have some level of challenge and stimulation. I'm extremely introverted but was most happy when I was working as I use to find work independently but also had a lot of social responsibilities with my work, that challenged me to a healthy degree. Becoming unemployed was really bad for me and ruined my life. Unfortunantely you need some financial help to explore options, otherwise you can easily be forced into situations that can do a lot of harm by pushing you too far one way or another or before you are ready.
