Have you ever thought what it would be like to wake up and find out you're dead? Well, to achieve this, I have tried sleeping with a blanket over my head.

Interestingly enough, every time I do this, I would wake up with the blanket tossed aside in the middle of the night. Perhaps this is the panic reaction from lack of oxygen? But then I don't really feel uncomfortable.

To confirm this theory, I tried sleeping again without the blanket over my head and I wake up as normal, in the morning, blanket placed where it originally was.

Afterwards, I tried having the blanket cover 100% of my body and tie a rope around it, bound to the top of head, right above eyes. (At the neck, I feel too uncomfortable from suffocating and can't go to sleep properly. )

The result? The rope gets shaken off and untied, and I find myself awake breathing fresh air. If I'm not suffocating, there should be no need to violently shake it off, right?

What are your thoughts? Are there any suggestions? Could this potentially be a viable method?

Suffocation is scary. I would advise against it unless you had something to keep you under. It sounds like you'll have an easy time getting out of it. It's not worth the potential brain damage if it in fact doesn't work. You do you though, fam.

Every time I read this forum I hope someone will share the new perfect method I've never seen before. An easy and sure way to go. And I have to be so disappointed again and again. There is no salvation. Hell is deep and so hard to escape from here.

Your motor system still works when you're unconscious, and you can reflexively move things that are preventing you from breathing. Hypoxia can also induce convulsions. This sounds like a recipe for brain damage. It's basically just going to sleep with a bag on your head, one of the most notoriously useless methods. I doubt you could plan it to be viable, sorry, but if you wanted to, you should look at suffocation with a bag and see where other people have failed. (https://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Suicide/Suffocation good start)

It also sounds extremely uncomfortable, too, although I appreciate painlessness is not everyone's main consideration. After all, not everyone has access to inert gas methods, which help avoid the body's distress from CO2 buildups. But reliability should be up there.

Personally, it doesn't sound like a viable idea. All the best methods that can be used has been discussed. Unfortunately I don't think we can come up with anything better than what's already known.

I've done this for just about every night over a 6 month period. I know it would be a miracle to actually work but it became comforting and actually helped me fall asleep. My thought is that it could possible be ruled an accident.

A few times I woke up with the worst headache I've ever experienced that lasted all day and nothing would help to stop it. I have since stopped this practice to prevent brain damage which would surely make me nothing but a burden .

It is not viable. can you get hold of any N?

People that botched the inert gas method have said they woke up with a very bad headache. Your headache therefore could be as a result of mild brain hypoxia. So, yes, be careful. Better buy some N if you can do.

You said exactly how I feel in such a poetic and authentic way. There seems to be no escape from Hell and no justice in life. People who want to live die and those who would gladly leave this world continue to live in agony.
