As long as there are kids on this site, I will not be recommending anyone suicide methods I think have a chance of succeeding, nor will I be condoning methods that result in great suffering

What I WILL be doing is sharing my failed attempts. Because that way, no-one has to go through the suffering I've been through.

If someone wants to die, I will not be getting involved, beyond saying I will just say they have a CHOICE. And that it's ok to back out at any time, but I wish them luck. This is a PRO CHOICE forum, remember?

But what I will do, is help people like me who either have run out of suicide options, or who have decided to aim for recovery, because that's where I'm at. My goal is to be empathetic and reduce suffering. And to anyone who wants to die, good luck to them. I wish I could die, and I envy anyone who does die. But what I do not envy is people who died by forcing themselves through unbearable suffering like required for full suspension. I think it's appalling that people recommend methods that require such suffering. I don't think that anyone who really knows the level of suffering it involves would willingly fldoing that, and the fact that KIDS might read about it and immitate these things appauls me

I agree with you, I don't want anyone here to die and I will never advice them to even though that's a legitimate choice to take. This place should be one where everyone can be feel heard and supported before being the place where you can find information about a choice you want to make.
I used to lurk here years ago and I think this place has changed a lot tho, years ago you would receive answers giving method information and such, today I tend to see the people here as more careful in what they say and generally prone to pushing others toward recovery.

I remember one time I got my reply in a thread deleted for being pro-life.

I was kind of disappointed. However, I didn't make a fuss at the time because I was dealing with some other things.

Anyways, whoever deleted my post don't realize that I was trying to stop a legal but younger person from ctb'ing.

I know if this person ctb'd, then their family/LEOs/news reporters would probably come after SS.

Ill admit I am a hypocrite at times. I dont want to see anybody die at all, but sometimes I am a judge who disagrees on the reason for wanting to ctb. Meanwhile any prolifer would disagree with me also. but I also think that suicide needs to be very well thought out. I am against rushed suicides, because guess what? Sometimes things may indeed change. Once the life is gone; its gone. Lot O hypocrisy here. I think you can find all of us having thoughts like these. As for myself Ive thought about these things since my youth. Stuck a rifle in my mouth at 14. Im still here. nobody has changed my mind. My abuse was so bad thats some psychs have refused to even believe it. Of course they were incapable of seeing my DID diagnoses. ( Many dont believe it exists even while it is more prevalent then schizophrenia ) Rambling on here, but there you go.

You aren't supposed to be recommending methods in the first place. It's against the site's rules. Also, nobody here is responsible for what kids who come across this site read on here. We aren't their parents and there isn't anything that's stopping them from lurking around on here. What is even the point of this thread anyway?
