Fuck the pro-lifers. Obviously this won't keep our French friends away, they'll just visit using a VPN. The only sad thing about this is, as discussed in another thread, that people who are denied easy access to proper info will resort to unsafe methods.

This site would not be needed if the pro-lifers came up with a solution to our problems and made everyone happy. But "it will get better" and "you have so much to live for" are not enough.

Another news from official TF1 French television, who clearly target @opheliaoveragain.



This news demonizes SaSu by saying that the suicide was followed by another person who commented on the steps from a distance during the victim's suicide. On the other hand, there are a few comments with a lot of likes "Many people don't seem to understand that she didn't find the site by chance...", which make it clear why this SaSu exists and why the victim voluntarily sought SaSu for help.

It sucks that prolifers are always so desperate to find a scapegoat to blame for someone's suicide. The thought that someone could want to end their life by their own volition is such a challenge to their worldview that they do all sorts of ridiculous mental gymnastics to avoid it.

Nevermind that Ophelia had a beautiful relationship with May and suffered a great deal of emotional pain to provide some comfort to her friend in her final moments. She didn't bludgeon her with "it gets better" platitudes so she must be an evil agent of the online suicide cult!!!

Albeit I'm grateful for the existence of this website, I don't know how it's still functioning with all these media covering related to suicides of users. Hope - but don't believe - that society evolves to recognize the right of death worldwide.
