Hello everyone, i need some help figuring out which gas valve / regulator type i need for my helium tank.
From what i can make out it's a chinese made tank if thats of any help.

After reading Final Exit it seems like i need a gas valve that lets me set it to 15/Lpm.

I'm located in the EU and will likely source the part(s) from China via Aliexpress due to budget constraints.

Thanks everyone!

Hi!
I'm not in the EU so won't be able to help with connections, but wanted to check in before you get too far.... the pictures attached look like a helium tank you'd get for balloons at the store. It might be a US regulation, but our tanks typically include a mix of 80% helium and 20% oxygen, which will NOT work for CTB. Did you confirm this tank is 100% Helium?

You're correct that you'll need a regulator to manage pressure and a flowmeter to dial in and be precise. Have you checked out the gas megathread? If not, I can drop a link.

Best I can tell you is it's a bullet-nose connection type and the threads are "straight". You'll need to measure the outside diameter of the threads to find their size. I assume it's metric maybe. Idk. Maybe not. You'll also need to measure the number of threads per given length - like threads per centimeter, or threads per inch, of length. I couldn't find any Chinese connectors that looked like that one. No UK, either.

Edit: That MAY BE, and I'm going to repeat MAY BE, a 1/4" flare connection. You need to measure it.

First things first, are you in the US?

Thank you so much for taking your time to respond. I did indeed confirm that it was 100% helium. Yes i did check that megathread but didn't find any answers there

Thanks to you as well for taking your time to help me out :).

I just measured what i could, it's hard because of the tank handles interfering access so take the numbers & count with a grain of salt.

The threads seem to span over pretty much exactly 1cm.
I think 8 threads across 1cm.
10.7ish mm lowest point of thread.
10.96ish mm highest point of thread.

I'm in the EU.
Thankful for any help you could offer
