Help GIF doesn't work

If I want to use a GIF as a profile picture or profile banner, it doesn't work and now I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong or if maybe it's been disabled and you can now only use normal images as profile pictures or profile banners

Does anyone else besides me have the problem?

If this question has already been answered, please link to the thread or close or delete my thread if necessary

Yeah, I have the same problem. I wanted to use a gif but it doesn't work. I upload the gif, but it's just a static image that shows up instead.

I thought I'd just post a thread about it, maybe someone knows what's going on

SAME! I even went out of my way to make it a very small file size with minimal animations, but it doesn't work as a PFP here. Elsewhere, it does, though.
