Today, I noticed that grocery stores have started Christmas season since they put all the Christmas sweets up. Yeez, we're still in the first half of September! Though temperatures have really dropped here.

I don't particularly like Christmas. All the stress about organizing presents, planning when which parts of the family will meet on which day. Worst case for me is when one part of the family decides to have Christmas lunch around 14 o'clock... I'm always hungry at noon and it stresses me out to change my eating schedule.

I'm wondering how everyone is feeling about Christmas - do you like it, hate it, or are you indifferent to it?

Other: It was a really special time for me as a kid and those are precious memories.
If things were still like that, I'd still like it. But they aren't and the disconnect is painful.
I also hate shit like you describe: seeing moneymaking xmas crap way too fucking early. Where the fuck is Hallowe'en?! It's so painfully indicative of the white north american bullshit disconnection from its own roots; these are all seasonal festivals and you don't goddamn skip one to get to another. Last year I literally saw halloween and christmas shit on the same page of the same flyer.
There's my irrelevant wordy answer.

I associate Christmas and most other big holidays with stress and commercialistic pressures.
It's a sad time for me, where I can't relate to society, and everyone are busy.

The family situation hasn't allowed any positive association since I was very young, and I usually spend Christmas alone with my dog.
I do try to look forward to the week after Christmas, though, where things are sold out for cheap. πŸŽ…

Germany. It's always started before Halloween, but I never noticed that it started that early, either.

I am usually alone at Christmas and I have very few fond memories of the holidays, so I would rather just skip it altogether.

When younger i loved it, mostly cus free presents and have new fun things to play with but now i don't really care and now indifferent to it. Mostly cus I don't know what I want for presents now. At least food my family makes for the day is nice but Christmas has happened so many times now that it doesn't feel special now. Well whatever, everything feels samey to me now a days.

One funny thing i once saw one year is that i saw someone put Christmas lights outside their house in fluffing AUGUST. Like that month is in the total opposite season to when Christmas takes place. Some people are genuinely insane.

As soon as September 1 hit, there was already a Christmas tree set up at the lobby of my building. A nice reminder that I am alone every time I pass. :notsure:

I have bad family associations with Christmas so, it just annoys me being confronted with it earlier and earlier each year. My ideal would be to ignore it but then- you can't if it's everywhere. Fortunately, I rarely go out to shop now so, I'm spared that.

I can sort of still appreciate the visual aspect of it to some extent. I try to tap into the earlier time when it was actually magical but, it doesn't entirely work.

Christmas products are in our shops here in Australia.

I loved Christmas as a kid, and now I see other people's children enjoying that same excitement and wonder and thrill, and it makes me so happy for those families.

Im sure my parents were going through their own problems and I was blissfully unaware, but my memories of Christmas as a child are so precious to me. Not a lot brings me joy or happiness, and while Christmas itself doesn't, the memories of a happier childhood do.

It's just another day of suffering in this dreadful, torturous and futile existence, just another day of waiting to die, another day closer to non-existence which is all I hope for, I don't like anything about the abomination of existence, this existence just feels like a mistake that causes harm and suffering with no limit as to how much one can suffer.

Christmastime, and the month of december, is my favorite time of the year. I really love picking out presents for people and the christmas lights everywhere. I also like the cold, I wasn't made for temperatures above 60 degrees :C
