I suppose people who are mentally well don't understand the importance of someone being on the same page. They just assume telling you "don't do it, you have so much to live for" will cure them. This site has helped out my loneliness as bit as I feel more and more distant with the people I know in real life due to mental health stuff but everyone here is feeling just as shit as myself so it feels comforting in a way. I don't want anyone to take that away from me. They think they know everything there is about mental health, but they don't. They really don't.

Also who here actually eggs people on to commit suicide? Everyone I've seen here is actually quite reasonable and chill. This isn't Reddit mate, calm down. But I suppose that doesn't make for a catchy thumbnail so what can ya do?

These types of videos ''exposing'' SaSu kind of make me cringe a bit. What's the point of putting a bunch of suicidal people's suffering in display as content? I think at some point it becomes less about raising awareness and more about shocking their followers, making them think there's actually some group of people somewhere in the internet coercing others to commit suicide because that's what gives out views. Though they'll leave out some irrelevant details, like this site having a recovery section for example.. ehh.

I think to those outside of this site, seeing that no one is really stopping someone to kill themselves is the same as egging them on I guess.

Because to them, you're supposed to try to stop someone from killing themselves. Just for the sake of "saving a life" without even caring about what lead someone to want to do that in the first place.

And I don't think anyone is coercive. As a matter of fact, I have come across comments where users say, "Don't be hasty with your decision." "Give yourself some time." Etc.

It's pointless to talk about that video imo, some of their concerns are valid and some aren't, there are some people here that are only here to get off of some people's suffering and there are others that are here just because you can't talk about this issue anywhere else without getting yourself either socially castrated by everyone or get yourself into a mental ward.

Information about taking your own life should be more accessible, why? they all give out the "the ones who kill themselves will do it anyways in anyway they can" but :

1. I still want to die with dignitiy.
2. I don't want to do it in a traumatic way for people who find me
3. I don't want to botch it and get to live the rest of my life as a veggie, basically x50 the pain that I feel.

Forums like these wouldn't even exist or if they did exist they'd have 5-10 times less population if those things would be offered. Everyone likes to virtue signal on the internet but in real life they don't even lift a finger. Could you stop 1 million people who came to protest at once? said someone to a Riot Policeman , the Riot Policeman responded: "We stopped way over 1 million, because you never come all at once." The same with virtue signaling, we are 8 billion people, virtue signal all you want , unless an entire country brings up the idea internationally, nothing will be done, virtue signaling does way more bad than good in it's current form, they want us to not kill ourselves? then vote accordingly, vote for human rights, vote for better mental health, vote for better quality of life, it's the one place where millions gather and can actually change something, yet we as humans always fuck that up too.

Thank you! I like what you said. I'm also a supporter of self-determination and autonomy. I was told before that the only ones who deserve to have a choice in terms of end-of-life, are those who are terminal ill/have cancer. And I disagree. I feel like having choice should be a human right to not prolong pain or suffering.
