  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

Wouldn't recommend. Unless you have connections i doubt it's even possible to hire one in the first place. Frankly the only place you or I could probably find one is through listing's on the dark web, the bulk of which are likely fake. And an actual hit man who can get the job done likely wouldn't take the risk of such a job, especially knowing the risks your SI would present.

It's an interesting hypothetical, but should stay that.

Edit: as someone else mentioned, a lot of the fake listing's are from law enforcement. So this method also risks involuntary hospitalization.

Such a service would be popular if it existed.

This is not TV or a movie. No one actually does this. There are not hitmen for the average citizen to just call up and hire. Most of them work for governments, large companies, or the mafia.

Where would you hire one? Even if you could ever find one, which you couldn't unless you had connections in the mafia, they would charge much more money than you had on you. If you matched all these requirements, you would have access to a gun anyway.

Looks a good idea but it depends on how he will manage to kill

Hiring a hitman has existed in some form from time to time, but more often than not, they're FBI agents posing as hitmen, to prevent a murder from happening

Well, the good news is that they couldn't arrest you because you'd be hiring them to kill you.

It might sound a bit silly, but I've always wanted something like this.

I think of myself as extremely cowardly and at times find it difficult to envision CTB, but there has not been a lived moment where I have not desired to.

Being able to have someone do it for me eliminates a part of the commitment and entirely overrides SI. I want this. I wish it was realistic. I wish I could give someone a time-frame & have them act at a random moment within it.

It's peaceful to me, in a way, imagining it happening without even realizing what has occurred. I turn a corner on a busy street and suddenly everything is gone; there's no mulling over it, no dreading, just living and then dying.

There's no consequences to be weighed, no goodbyes to be said, nothing. It is just over. A lot of people seem to find it impersonal or redundant, all of which is understandable. It is. Maybe that's what attracts me towards it.

I know your post was not serious (and therefore apologize for the wall of text), but I find it a bit funny that someone mentioned it & it just so happens to be something that I think about often. :-)

It's pretty much impossible to get a hit man without connections... A competent hit man would prolly never take up a job from some rando who he has never heard of... People who use hitmen are usually into some shit and are known for being into that shit... A hit man would be well tapped into the situation from various cities... Also, with the hitman money you can just kys

I mean you probably wouldn't be able to find like a legit professional hit man but I know more than a few meth heads that would probably do it for $1k or so lol
