• Hey Guest,

An update on the OFCOM situation: As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. OFCOM, the UK’s communications regulator, has singled out our community, demanding compliance with their Online Safety Act despite our minimal UK presence. This is a blatant overreach, and they have been sending letters pressuring us to comply with their censorship agenda.

Our platform is already blocked by many UK ISPs, yet they continue their attempts to stifle free speech. Standing up to this kind of regulatory overreach requires lots of resources to maintain our infrastructure and fight back against these unjust demands. If you value our community and want to support us during this time, we would greatly appreciate any and all donations.

yeah that might be true for someone whose problems aren't big yet.
someone with a few problems, that quote might apply.
but i'm so tired of hearing it all the time, it's like a robot voice almost.
people just repeat it.

another one is "suicide is a permanent choice to a temporary problem".
first of all how do you know it's a temporary problem????
where did THAT part come from?
some problems are very, very permanent.

like epilepsy for example

Stronger for what? To what end? Why do I want that? Just to be able to deal with something hypothetically "worse"? Why is that desirable?

Also for "suicide is a temporary solution..." It pressures you would kill yourself to solve a specific problem and in some cases that could be somewhat true but id wager for a sizable chunk of us, that solving or fixing even a handful of "temporary" problems would leave us in the same position.

The person who wrote the first one went mad, talked to horses and lived his last years in complete silence after a mental breakdown, so...

(He was genius, but I also can't ignore the fact)

These are peer pressure from other people, don't listen to these quotes, they are unhealthy when a healthy person tries to apply them let alone someone who is struggling. Most are also thrown around in mass so it becomes reality to them, if everyone says this then it must be the truth and life is easier to digest for them, they are using them as live munition to justify the shit that comes and goes in our world.

Sometimes what doesn't kill you, almost kills you. And that's it. There doesn't have to be meaning and beauty in every trauma. Sometimes it's just pain. I'm still willing to try to help myself a lot of the time, but fuck the people who say this is a learning experience. Maybe it's just a shitty experience.

What didn't kill me made me traumatized, filled with anger, depression, and distrustful of others. My nervous system is fucked up.

I absolutely hate toxic positivity. Even though people may mean well, it just makes me angry when people say such insensitive things.

Just wanting some peace

The fact that ceasing to exist is permanent is exactly why it appeals to me personally, I just want to never suffer ever again, a permanent solution is all I personally hope for, I wish for a permanent solution to take away and bring me peace from what I see as the true problem which is existence itself, for me the only relief could lie in being permanently unable to suffer.

Extreme Pain is much worse than people know

With this saying they are implying that it's worth to go through extreme suffering because it will make you stronger and to never kill yourself just take the extreme pain .

so you suffer terribly then if you survive then you just continue to exist so that something even more horrible can trap you and you just get older decay . survive to get old and the torture of old age for example age 60 to 90 in a nursing home with skin sores or dementia constant pain every second for 30 years . I worked in a nursing home and imo likely for someone to fall into a trap of excruciating constant unbearable pain especially in old age .

But there is no reason to go through any suffering much less extreme suffering or constant unbearable pain.

there is no reason for why i have to accept suffering

i don't have to live another minute. no one can convince me why i have to or even want to have to live another minute.

And above holds even if were to believe i'm some person. i'm just cells, chemical reactions , but a brain that can suffer unending constant unbearable pain . there could never be a purpose for chemical reactions. i've defeated pro-life ai in debates at least they know a human is just cells , chemical reactions, same cells as in other animals but still they try to say that is important . why is it important to be a torture chamber? for a brain , brain cells to create the torture of extreme pain ? why are chemical reactions , a machine important why ? why is that sacred and good? i 'm only chemical reactions every life form is .

all life descended from a single cell that evolved 4 billion years ago.

It doesn't make you stronger, it makes you a living dead person. All the trauma, suffering, mental and physical exhaustion, anxiety and stress, sadness and despair... can't be magically erased with therapy or medication.

You're trapped in a cage as the days go by... How long is it worth enduring such misery?
