Yea. The thing is, it is very clear.
Any further with the same posture will be dead within minutes.
I have tried padding and it works. I'm exited to ctb soon. I wish I had time machine to undo my financial mistakes
I have tried padding and it works. I'm exited to ctb soon. I wish I had time machine to undo my financial mistakes
I think I need someone to talk or chat till I ctb. I was very lonely from last Feb. Is there anyone to talk/chat?
This is my padding as of now. Anything else I need to add?
I hope it all goes well for you! I'm in the very early stages of testing now and don't think I can give you a good advise, but if it all goes according to plan, I'll follow you in a week or less.
I've been thinking to try and combine somehow this and night-night method to help me ease the tension off the trachea and give more to the carotid arteries. Since I don't have cornhole bags, this is what I've constructed with socks full of 500g beans each. You could call it a padding I guess. Still not tested tho...

I've been struggling a lot in finding carotid arteries, but today I have finally done it and holy shit this stuff works... Had a few successes in the past, but nothing like today. I did 10-20 pushups to really get the blood flowing, then I felt around my neck to feel the pulse and just gently pressed on them. In 5 seconds I got tingles, dizziness and right arm started twitching. I haven't even pressed down super hard and it was enough to almost knock me out. I can only imagine how quick it must be when 90kg get applied. Btw, I totally get now why people can get addicted to this stuff, especially when having sex haha.

Hmm overheard this mentioned before about getting the blood flowing before trying an attempt and knew why it "could" in theory work. Maybe I'll give it a try 🧐
I tried doing it a bunch of times with the rope as well, but to no success. It was partial though and I didn't fully lean into it since I was scared, but still I find it so strange how two pointer fingers + small amounts of pressure almost knocked me out, but a rope didn't and a pretty decent lean in didn't. I'm assuming with full hanging you automatically hit that sweet spot due to the weight amount applied, but I'm still so uncertain...

I placed noose below Adam's apple and knot behind. After i reassured myself that both sides of my neck receive equal pressure, i've tightened the noose. Suddenly my vision began to dim really quick. That's a new result in my tests (ig i was applying pressure only to jugulars before), so i want to ask. Does that mean that i've hit the spot?
I'm using a wool scarf, twisted like a rope. Not gonna use it for ctb though, i ordered a 10mm rope.

I just tried it for a few minutes and couldn't get myself to pass out, it just started to hurt my neck and I was struggling to breathe. What am I doing wrong?

People, I need help. I chose this method because it seems to be the most viable for me at the moment, but I have also observed the Night-Night method. I need to know which of these two images below is the best place to hang the rope and do the partial hanging. In the first image there is my wardrobe. It looks small in the picture, but I easily fit inside it. In the second image there is the door handle to my room. I don't know if it's a good idea to use it, as it seems to be more difficult. But as I saw cases of other people who did this using it, I decided to include it. These two locations are the only options I have indoors. I would also like to know what is the best rope to use. I'm sorry if there are any errors in English, I use the translator and if anyone can help me I would appreciate it. 1000023475 1000023478

Hmm... I'm even more confused now. Isn't the correct placement of the rope as high on the neck as possible, right under your jaw line?

Sounds like you're pretty close, can't help but being a bit envious, but in a positive way. I'm still in the planning and testing phase, playing with the ratched mechanism and still learning while debating about full or partial suspension, padding and choosing between 10mm and 12mm rope.

One thing I'm absolutely certain and can advise people against is - do not use towing car rope. That was the only one I had initially, don't know what material is it, seems like nylon. I tried it with a slip knot, initially it tightens but from a certain point it starts to slip towards the free end. For those shopping for a rope - do not use this:

Both of these options look pretty good, the rope I advise you to use is double braided mooring rope as it already has a loop in it and from that you don't have to worry about any anchor point knot as you can just run the rope through the loop on the anchor point. Buy it from eBay at the shortest length available.

So did your knot give way, the anchor point or did you wake up for some other reason?

For privacy purposes it's best not to include your mouth area in the pic btw, you never know who might recognise you. What you see in the pic thumbnail is all you need to show.

Probably not putting the noose in the right place and compressing the trachea rather than jugulars and carotid arteries. You also then need the correct amount of force which varies based on muscle density in that area.

This sounds like what I'd like to achieve. Normally people put it above the adamsapple but it's fine (albeit rarer) of you can get it working from below. How far below did you put it and was it comfortable under tension?
The knot was cutoff. I have to find a strong one

Double braided mooring line from polyester is very comfortable, so smooth and strong and helped massively by the fact that it comes with a big loop at the end. Thicker is better, I chose 14mm when I probably should've gone 16 or 18. Don't go above 20mm though as it creates problems with the neck part of the knot.

Ok well at least you're probably close to succeeding and don't have the issue most of us do of hitting the arteries sufficiently. If you can't get the knot to hold (snuggle hitch being the recommended an hour knot, I presume it was this that failed?) then the rope I use already has a loop so you don't actually need to do a knot.
I have one option to hang myself now which is Dhoti or long towel. If rolled, it will act as padding to neck and same will work as knot

Thanks, tho yesterday I already bought 2 new ropes (10 and 12mm), it was stuck in my head that someone recommended thickness between 8 and 12mm as appropriate. Again no idea what the material is, I asked but the salesperson didn't know also asked how much weight it can hold - same answer. Apparently around here details about the merchandise isn't a thing, so I'll have zero chances finding what you're suggesting. But the ropes I got seem pretty strong, also the knot tightens very well (to my limited knowledge that is). I burned with a lighter the end of the rope and it looks/feels like cotton with some synthetic threads.
The salesperson's pitch was "It can hold a lot." 😆
Anyway, that's the 10mm:

Southeast Europe, often it can be a journey if you're very specific of what you're looking for, especially if you don't go to a big chain store (like me). I went to my neighborhood's hardware store where you don't have much to choose from but somehow always can find something close enough to what you need.

Uhm. Hello.
Sorry if I ask something stupid, I didn't yet read all this thread, although I am planning to.
When I read the OP post I was keep wondering, does actually partial hanging even works? I mean, you can just stand anytime if your legs touch the ground? Or do you pass out almost immedietly not even realising when it was over? If yes, do you have to wrap your carotid artery somewhat specifically? Or just a regular slipknot noose should do all the work? It's still difficult for me to believe in it, although I want it to be true.
I was thinking about doorknob when I suddenly found a TV helder in a wall held by 3 bolts (2 in the top and 1 in the bottom). It looks quite sturdy, and I believe it's thousands times more reliable than doorknob. It's not high enough for me, so, if I'll try to use it if will look like on second screenshot. Is it right to do it? Do I just jump with a rope on my neck and bend my knees so I can't reach the floor to pass out and while I am unconscious my legs just wouldn't stand by themselves? Right? Do I miss something?
Also, there are two more additional things I consider.
First one is to put a plastic bag on my head and secure it with elastic bands. I'll do it just before hanging, so I won't be able to feel that I am suffocating (to exclude panic) but when I'll pass out and for instance the bolts will just break - I would suffocate just naturally because of the plastic bag.
Second one is kinda arguable. I found an article of a man that tied his legs so it would be bend in knees. Like, basically he effectively shortened his height and I could possible achieve full hanging by this method. My doubts are - would it be too heavy for the bolts to hold (80 kg), and is it even possible to tie your legs like this so they wouldn't just untie from movement.
Also, I've bought a paracord with 4 mm diameter (it's said that is should hold 250 kg, model MFG 550) and a rope with 11 mm diameter. I think 4 mm should be enough it looks quite strong, do I understand it correctly?
Oh and. Also I'll probably use alcohol to push me into action, I guess a couple of bottles of wine should do the trick, most part of my life I never drank alcohol so I get drunk easily .
Sorry if I asked something wrong.

Actually I didn't even get to the actual testing, before that I managed to hit my spine in a wall with enough force to still hurt hours later... At least you have no obstacles like that near you, if I'm remembering correctly your setting with the fan and the metal loop from the ceiling.

Guide to partially suspended hanging:

Warning: Don't try this method unless you're totally sure that:
a) you want to kill yourself
b) that you won't be found for at least 30 minutes after you attempt.

This method is very lethal and quick (quick from your perspective
anyway, as you black out within seconds), but if you're found in time
and 'saved' you can end up with serious brain damage and/or be left a
vegetable.

Why partial suspension?
Because full suspension seems to me to be unnecessary and creates
difficulties. First of all you need to find a place which would hold
your entire weight, which isn't easy, and also you need a stronger
ligature, which isn't always easy to find either. There's nothing
wrong with full suspension, but it may not be a viable method for
everyone, especially if you're looking to use everyday materials from
around the home.

By partial suspension I mean that you hang yourself around the neck
(specifically the carotid artery), and push downwards while kneeling.
This should create enough downward pressure on the ligature to tighten
it and close the carotid artery and stop the blood flow to your brain.
All you need is 3 kilograms of pressure to do this, which isn't much
at all.

Also, with full suspension your entire body weight is pressurizing
your neck, and this would probably be more than enough to not only cut
off the blood supply to your brain, but break your neck as well. I'm
not too sure if that's a good or a bad thing. I do know though, that
statistically people who've attempted via hanging have more often been
found kneeling and partially suspended than being fully suspended.

Where is the carotid artery?
Before you start you have to know this. If you place your hand around
the middle of your neck, around your Adam's apple, with one thumb on
one side and all fingers on the other, you should feel a strong pulse
and heartbeat. If you close your hand now fairly firmly, you'll
probably make yourself pass out. It might be a good idea to try this
to make sure you've got the right spot.

What type of ligature?
You need a ligature that's strong, but not too elastic. It doesn't
have to be very long, 1 meter or more would be plenty. I'd advise
against nylon rope, string, fishing wire, etc.
Neckties on the other hand, are perfect Smile .

It may also be a good idea to lubricate the ligature with soap. This
would help the noose tighten even quicker, especially if you're using
a rough ligature such as a rope. Lubricating it in this way will
increase the friction once you push your head down and tighten the
noose, and could make it a little more effective and faster.

What type of knot?
A slipknot. It's one of the most basic knots around, and you make it
with one end of your ligature. The other end should go around your
hanging place.

Many people have the misguided idea that a hangman's knot should be
used, but they're wrong. A hangman's knot is for a completely
different purpose, and won't work for this method.

Where should I hang?
You should hang from a support which will hold part of your weight.

You should test this by tying the loose end of your ligature around
the support several times, sticking your hand (NOT your head) in the
noose and pushing down with it. If the noose holds, you're fine. If
not, then you'll have to find another spot.

A great and easy place to hang is from the thick horizontal metal bar
which you find in wardrobes in most homes.

When should I do it?
When no one else will be in the same area, for at least 30 minutes.
You lose consciousness within seconds but your body doesn't completely
die for around 15-20 minutes. The extra 10-15 minutes is for
preparation time and just in case.

How?

When you're completely ready, kneel down, stick your head in the
noose, position it around the carotid artery and push downwards with
your head.

Good luck...
Will this work? I'm scared and I think this will be my only way out . I don't want to end up being a vegetable

Not sure of the combination of alcohol and sedatives is a good idea, alcohol does something to your blood that doesn't always help with cutting off the blood flow but I never saved the post to remember the details. A towel is pretty good as it's quite wide on your neck.
Thank you. 3-4 hours. Waiting for the attempt.

I'm still going with the fan ceiling. The hook is cemented to wall so that failing in ceiling is less. I want the material to hang to be perfect.

You can get a new rope as a backup just in case the towel isn't working for you.
I have two different thickness ropes, 2 types of thick cables (don't like that option at all, but just in case) and a ratchet strap (still haven't given up on the night-night). And yet I don't feel like I have the perfect solution and the peace of mind that comes with it... Find more options, is what I think.

I have loved this video. I love his detailed explanations. It eased my mind when I had doubts about this method.
I have two things to hang. One is exact the blue wire and other one is like bedsheets or Dhoti which we call in my country. I can't decide which one to use
