  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

So I just tried partial hanging by putting the rope at the top of my door and closing it shut. I sat down with the rope around my neck and coughed for a bit. Next thing I know, I was dreaming. Literally dreaming.

Suddenly I became aware and snapped out of it and quickly took the rope off my neck because it was so surreal. It was like I woke up from a nap. I felt dizzy and groggy afterwards but maybe because I was already tired?

It felt like I was dreaming forever but realistically it was probably just a few seconds. If this is what hanging feels like, I'm super excited... I thought it'd be super painful but it really wasn't that bad.

Having something constrict around your neck or not being able to breath is one of the most panic-inducing things there is. Were you in discomfort initially when you were coughing? I really doubt you would be able to enter a dream-like state for any reason other than cerebral hypoxia.

Its pretty much instinctual, your body knows that your airway and circulation are being threatened when this happens.

Honestly from what I remember, I coughed a bit and just sat down even further and after that I have no idea what happened. I was just out. I don't remember being in too much discomfort.

If you manage to hit your carotids you're out. I've had the same experience as OP, the front of your throat hurts quite a bit if you position the ligature wrong but any sort of panic reaction is stifled by the immediate draining of blood from the brain. Your body does not have the ability to control your limbs if there is no brain activity.

Would you say that I did it correctly? At least partially?

You successfully compressed your carotid arteries but the fact you hurt your throat means the position was a bit off. You want the ligature to be buried underneath the bone of your jaw, not in contact with your trachea.
