Do you?
Of course not. But I do believe some people are idiots. Is that so wrong?
An update on the OFCOM situation: As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. OFCOM, the UK’s communications regulator, has singled out our community, demanding compliance with their Online Safety Act despite our minimal UK presence. This is a blatant overreach, and they have been sending letters pressuring us to comply with their censorship agenda.
Our platform is already blocked by many UK ISPs, yet they continue their attempts to stifle free speech. Standing up to this kind of regulatory overreach requires lots of resources to maintain our infrastructure and fight back against these unjust demands. If you value our community and want to support us during this time, we would greatly appreciate any and all donations.

The problem with it is that people can sense it. That you hold them in contempt. That's you judge them. And if you're anything like I was, there is a very narrow band of what makes a person smart. Academic intelligence? Is a person who can build a house dumb because he doesn't read a lot? I know I thought that's for years. And it kills your life thinking like that.
How can you sense something like that based on a post or two. And we all judge everyone. That's human nature. EDIT: It's normal for people around my age who were born and raised where I was born and raised, to use words like "idiot" and "idiots" in conversations. It's not a symptom of arrogance, narcissism or whatever etc... Sometimes the word "idiot" is used to make someone feel like shit but I wasn't using the word "idiot" or "idiots" to make anyone here feel like shit. I just wanted to talk about these people and suffering.
I respectfully disagree. Although it sounds pretty cool, I don't think that's true. In order to be a cynic you need to have some degree of intelligence. People with lower IQs often have difficulty lying successfully, recognizing cynicism and sarcasm because they require more thought process.
Maybe I'm wrong but I read what Severen said as: people who live a more carefree life might die younger and as a result avoid much suffering. Those who are more cautious might live longer and suffer more, just like how perfectionists take more time to finish a job.
I read a great quote somewhere.. cynicism is not intelligence.
I seem to relish in insulting others whom I deem less intelligent than me, based on what, exactly? This thread? Do you have any other examples? I've also never been hostile and aggressive to anyone in this community until someone in the community has started being hostile and aggressive towards me. And this kind of behavior has only happened in 2 threads(including this one), if I remember correctly. Not once have I been hostile and aggressive to anyone in this community who was friendly to me.
I'm not sure if I understand your question...Only the good die young?

I think people don't relish stupidity enough. It makes for great anecdotes. And it makes people bond.
